The ZenDo School of JuJitsu was established in 1990 because no other schools were offering kids and adults the quality and realistic style of JuJitsu in the New Milford area. In the past 31 years we have helped hundreds of families with their personal safety and security needs. My name is Sean Jugler and I am the Owner and Founder of the ZenDo School of JuJitsu.
I began my martial arts training in 1986 after getting attacked and beat up in the Bronx, NY. Following that incident I realized how important it was to be able to defend myself and if an attack were to happen again I would be prepared!

Great people, great training. Sean Jugler is very talented instructor with a wealth of knowledge. Sean's ability to teach both adults and children is fantastic. There are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes offered MWF under the instruction of Eric Hansell a black belt under Rafael Formiga Barbosa; while the self-defense Japanese ju-jitsu-based Tritac Jitsu is taught on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I would highly recommend anyone interested in either self-defense or jiu-jitsu to come down to the school.

My daughter started ju-jitsu just before her 7th birthday back in December. We went for a trial night to watch and when Sean asked if she wanted to join in she sat back and watched for a bit, but soon slipped off her shoes and socks and joined in. She's never looked back since and it's been an awesome experience. Ever since we've seen her confidence grow not only in class, but outside as well. Sean makes the environment inviting and fun while still ensuring a level or respect and structure exists. My wife and I could not be happier with the school and how far our daughter has grown. If anyone is

This is a fantastic school at which to learn martial arts. The practitioners are welcoming and the instructors will extract the best from you. Make no mistake, this isn't some mcdojo where you will fly through the ranks; you will have to put in an earnest effort and they will extract their pound of flesh on your way to mastering the art of ju jitsu. But you can leave each class with the confidence in your ability to defend yourself.

Our daughter has been a student for close to 2 years. We signed her up because she is petite and was feeling insecure because of her smaller size. After 2 years she has gained confidence and become stronger. Sensei Sean is an amazing instructor and teaches children structure, focus and defense techniques. We are so happy to have found this place for our child.

My three sons (ages 10, 10, & 8) have been coming here for four years. Sensei Sean is extraordinarily patient with his students and knows how to bring out the best in them. All the life lessons we try to teach our kids are reinforced by what Sensei Sean teaches in class. I highly recommend ju-its u over a typical karate class. There's much more to it!

My son has been attending Zendo JuJitsu in New Milford for nearly 5 years. The level of instruction that he receives is incredible. Sensei Sean not only instructs his students in jujitsu but also develops strong relationships with them and their families. My son looks to Sensei Sean not only as his teacher or mentor but also as a positive male role model. When my son is proud of something that is happening on or off the mat Sean is one of the people he wants to share his news with.
In addition, the value of this program is incredible not only on a financial level but also on the level of our youth

My kids (currently ages 11 and 13) have been attending jujitsu here for several years. They've both grown in strength and confidence dramatically in that time. I love that it provides a non-competitive environment where students have some choice in how intensely they want to train. Sensei Sean, deals well with kids of all ages and ability levels. My husband also attends for an intense beginner level program on Thursday evenings. Perfect for the whole family. Highly recommend.
