Here at Napoleon we are on the cutting edge of technology. In each cab, we have credit card machines and cameras for the convenience of our customers and safety of our drivers. Behind the scenes we have equipped our dispatchers with a computerized dispatching system. When you call your phone number is input into your trip, which is then sent to the drivers mobile data terminal and will automatically pull up a GPS with directions to you.

Jonathan Trainum is the founder and president of Napoleon Taxi. Mr. Trainum is a dedicated father and outspoken leader. He cares about RVA's transportation options and is always analyzing/ improving some part of Napoleon's service. With drive, determination and a commitment to all of RVA's communities, he decided to build a reliable Taxi Service that customers would be proud to use.
Napoleon Taxi is looking for drivers at least 23 years of age with a clean criminal history. A good driving record is a must (at least 0 points on the DMV transcript). We are looking for individuals with a strong emphasis on Customer Service skills! Napoleon Taxi has partnered with For-Hire Auto Sales to offer wholesale prices to our partner-providers.

I used Napoleon once. I was in Short Pump at Wyndham and needed to get to Walmart. The driver took me there cheaply and quietly.

I believe the cab isn't running at night during the COVID epidemic.

Happed a few years ago, but decided then that I would never use this service again. I’d called for a cab, fairly early, on NYE and saw the driver pick someone else up. I called dispatch and they told me the driver ‘saw a friend’ and was taking them home, but would only be 30 minutes. I hung up and haven’t used them since. I work in hospitality and will continue to refer customers to Veterans Cab over Napoleon. Also, thank goodness for Lyft and Uber.

As one who lived for years in downtown Chicago and grew up in downtown Washington, D.C., taxis I know very well and have seen the good, the bad, and everything in between. As a two-month visitor to Richmond from 1,000 miles away, I had no clue about taxis nor did my friend with whom I stayed. I picked Napoleon in part because of the resonant name. That said, I've used Napoleon a number of times and have absolutely no complaints. Clean cabs; courteous drivers; on-time. I called for a guest in the restaurant I work in. He asked for a taxi to the airport. The phone number rang and an automated service booked the cab. I thought. Neat. They are on the way.. 15 minutes later the guest asked to check to see how much longer it would be. I was able to get through to a person and she said it would be 2-3 HOURS ! Mind you this was 9:30 pm in the middle of Richmond City. How absurd. And ridiculous. I had a man waiting for a cab that wasn't coming and he would possibly be late for a flight now. The automated machiene that answered offered no pick up time when I first calles

Because Uber can only give you a 15 min window on a scheduled ride, I went with Napoleon because they offered an exact time to select pickup. I scheduled a 6:30 pickup for my 15 min ride to the train station for my 7:00 train. I got a notification at 6:31 that my cab was en route. I thought, hmmm, hopefully they are close by and clicked the link that was texted to me. Nope, 18 min away! I even tried to be courteous and call Napoleon to let them know I would be canceling. They never picked up and my driver (Alicia) didn't have any published phone number (how foolish is that in today's day and age

I am only giving them one star because I have to. I generally order a cab the night before to take me to the airport when I have a super early flight. This was fine more or less for several months but over the last few months, there have been increasing issues. Today I had a cab ordered for 5am and at 5:05 I called to see where it was given my flight was scheduled for 6:30 and I live 20-25 min away from the airport. I found no cab had been assigned and was told sometimes the online booking doesn't actually show dispatch the pickup time. This is after being told they don't do pickups in

The first day I used the service it was great. I book online and my driver was actually early. However, the next 3 times were horrible. I book my cab online the night before to pick me up at 8:30 in the morning. The driver was late which made me late for work. Also he took his sweet time getting me to work. I was not happy. So I called for a ride home. Dispatch told me they would have someone here in about 25-30 min. It has now been almost an hour and I just received my text saying they are on the way. Not a happy camper at all.

My cab driver yesterday was either playing stupid to milk me for extra cash or she was just plain ignorant. She had absolutely no idea how to get to my destination. I realized this when I asked her stop the car after we went two blocks in the OPPOSITE direction we needed to be going in. She was very rude when I asked her where she was taking me and tried offering her directions. I became frustrated with the whole situation and opted to leave the cab. This lady had the nerve to charge me 4 dollars to take me almost 3 blocks out of my way. btw. I am aware that the bike race was on monument and

I rely on them to get to work every night at the same time. For one, you'd think they'd have some type of regulars discount but no. You'd also think that they would treat loyal customers the same on busy days as they do on slow ones!!! As soon as a holiday rolls around I'm thrown under the bus.

The scenario usually goes something like this: I call in at 5:30 as normal for an appointment at 7:30, they say they can't schedule anything before 7:00. I call back at 7:00 right on the dot, they tell me it's an hour wait, making me late for work.

I'm like the first reviewer I wasn't going to say anything but I made my call to them at 5:24pm it is now 7:24 and I am just getting a call stating they will be here in 10 minutes!!!! I had been waiting for over a hour for a cab to the airport. Every 30 mins I would call back and was told its another 30 mins. After the 6th time calling back the dizzy dispatcher acts as if I never placed the call and there were cabs available! When I got fed up and called to ask for a Supervisor is when I get a call on the other end while waiting for the Supervisor, from the driver saying he will be here in 10 mins

I've never had major issues with Napoleon Taxi in the past. I was going to a cookout at a friend's house. I could have walked there faster than it took for the cab to actually get to my dorm and to my destination. Once the cab arrived I got in the car. I was talking on the phone and I thought I heard the driver say, "Is this the right address?" I looked, and said, "Yeah, the address is right." Then the driver proceeds to say, "No (laughing voice). You have on a beautiful dress." I was instantly creeped out. Just do your job. I'm not interested. Then as I was talking on the phone, he was eavesdropping

PLEASE listen to those who said the cab did not show up. I didn't listen and even though I called twice on Sunday to confirm a pickup on Monday morning. They did not show up and when I called the company a guy said there was no record on his computer. I missed my flight and had to drive myself to airport and pay for two weeks of parking. The guy just didn't care how badly he ruined my day. I missed a whole days work because of them. I even mentioned all the comments about them not showing up to the lady who took down my information. She ensured me they are reliable. Never again will I

I called from the train and they were waiting for me. No problem that the train lost a little time. The car was clean and the driver was friendly. He took the most direct route and I was a happy customer.

They also texted me saying that the driver was on the way, and then that my being a little late wasn't a problem.

Recommend and would call them again.

I booked a early morning ride through Napoleon to the Richmond Airport for our family of five. We all had luggage, so I made a point to the reservation it's that we would need a van, not a car. When I called the day before our scheduled ride to confirm, I once again reminded them I needed a van, not a car. Well, guess what, a passenger car showed up at 5am. There was no way we were going to all fit in the car with our luggage!

I recently had my car in the shop, so I had to use a taxi to get in to work and basically just picked these guys at random. They always showed up 10 minutes before i asked, were very polite and professional, the cars were clean, etc. Even when I didn't schedule a pick up in advance, they were always at my front door in 10-15 minutes. The only mix-up in the two weeks that I used their service was when they dispatched two cars to pick me up at the same time.
