Hawk Ridge Winery, part of Hidden Breeze Farm, is located in Watertown, Connecticut, a peaceful farm setting, in which to enjoy friends, family, and fantastic wine. We decided to name our winery after the abundance of red tail hawks on the property. The 58 acres that surround Hawk Ridge Winery were purchased by Hidden Breeze Farm LLC in 2012.
For decades the property was a working farm. In 1975, the property began operating primarily as a horse farm, haying its pastoral acreage. In 2013, after a year of deliberation and appreciation of the property, we decided to convert the property back to a working farm with the introduction of farm animals.

Services
Spearheaded By our fantastic chefs, richie, Billy & jessica, hawk ridge winery offers several different options to munch on during the duration of your visit. Hawk Ridge Winery is extremely proud of the award winning wines that we produce. We currently offer a selection of 8 Reds, 9 Whites, 2 Rose, and 1 Port!
Once the wine has aged a precise amount of time, we sterilize our glass bottles, and using an automated system, transfer the wine into its new home. We generally use green bottles for our red varieties and clear for our whites and rose. The bottles are corked, heat wrapped, and labeled. Depending on the variety, we store them for several years or put them into inventory.
Our beautiful Hawk's Nest is our very own private room that seats up to 55 people, it is on the second floor adjacent to the tasting room. It has a stunning outdoor balcony with breath taking views and its own private bathroom. This room is NOT handicap accessible. Our Hawk's Nest rental includes room rental, tables, chairs, private bathroom and balcony.
We're so excited to share one of our FIRST seasonal projects of 2021! This 15 farmhouse inspired sign comes with a hanger attached so you have the option to hang or prop once you get home + it makes for an awesome keepsake to remember a fun holiday night out with loved ones at the Winery. Our team has been DREAMING of this project since last year & it's finally here for November!
Private Premiere Wine Tastings upstairs in our Hawk's Nest with a limited guests count of 30 max! Our wine maker Maureen, has selected 4 of our award winning wines for you to taste; paired with gourmet cheeses and jams selected by owner Vincent Giannetto. The HRW Premiere Wine Tasting is guided by either one of the owners or our wine marker Maureen.

Hawk Ridge Winery hosted my event this weekend and they did an amazing job! They were extremely accommodating and helpful. They helped me re-arrange the space to fit the needs and size of my party. Everything was perfect - the atmosphere, the fire place, the open space, the music and most importantly, the wine 😊 thank you Jeff and Hawk Ridge for an amazing evening!!

Had a wonderful afternoon at Hawk Ridge Winery. Started with a tasting. Jeff was extremely helpful in choosing our wines. We enjoyed every wine we tried. Also had the roast beef sandwich with house made chips. It was delicious and big enough to share. Ashley also helped when choosing another glass to have and a bottle for home. Will definitely be back

I hope they plant more foliage or actual grapes to give the guests a better view to look at while hanging out and visiting.
Other than that~
+Excellent wine
+Excellent service.
+Gorgeous establishment.
+Lovely visit.
+Best in the area
Last note, heads-up:
When I visited the "flights" for taste tasting were served in small plastic saucers which was unusual. Perhaps that was a covid measure (?) that will be changed in the future.

We went to check out Hawk Ridge as an option to throw a private party and were so impressed! It's a beautiful spot!! We tried several wines, which were all really good, and there were enough variations to satisfy dry drinkers as well as sweet. Really enjoyed sitting outside to take in the view with a nice glass of wine. We were so thrilled that it was available to book our party, and can't wait for it!! And Jeff, the manager is awesome!

This winery is spacious, and they have a great open area to spread out on. We visited on a weekend, and while there were lots of guests, we had no problem finding some chairs to sit in on the lawn. We enjoyed the live music that Hawk Ridge had on a Saturday afternoon. We skipped the wine tasting, as there wasn't much room at the bar to stand. Instead, we purchased a bottle of rose'. They were kind enough to let us try it before we bought it. The rose' was slightly sweet, fruity, and very easy to drink. It was pricey at $28.00 a bottle, but there were some cheaper bottles to choose

Hawk ridge is a great place to have a picnic with your family or friends. Though some of their wines are not made from estate grown grapes, they have decent wine for CT. The food choices are slim but are pretty good. A favorite is the eggplant fries. It gets busy on the weekends so get there early to get a good table or spot on the lawn

It was a good choice to land here after a ladies lunch! This winery is huge!! They have tons of wine to chose from and small appetizers. The staff are helpful with choosing your level of sweetness. The view from under the tent outside is amazing and breathtaking. Large tables, Picnic tables and seating arrangements are available. Some people opted to bring their picnic baskets there with some beach chairs. Lots of bridal parties and family get togethers. It's a little loud but hey that's everyone having fun. They do wine tasting specials which was the best fit for me. The wine I got was

Great Vibes, Great Wine Slushies, Great People. Me and my friends enjoyed ourselves. We were the last ones to leave. Will definitely recommend anyone to visit this Vineyard. Grab your chair, some finger foods, a bottle of Hawk's Wine, and some Gteat Friends. And that's all you need!💕💕.. We can't wait to return!.. 🍷🥂

Hands down my favorite winery! The atmosphere is gorgeous and fun and the wine is amazing. The people who work there couldn't be more helpful and on top of everything. I've been to weddings, small gatherings, and just threw a surprise 30th birthday party there and it couldn't have gone more perfectly!

Prior to visiting Hawk Ridge I asked some friends for best wineries in CT. Hawk Ridge was at the top of the list for most. So being my 1st time I visited a winery (ever), I decided to start at the top. I went with 2 other people. We ordered 2 different flights and shared. We went with their sweet options as neither of us drinking have a taste for dry wines. We also ordered a bunch of their food options. HOWEVER my favorite part of the menu are their Wine Slushies which was personally suggested by a friend. Those were awesome. Had two of those alone.

I recently came here with a small group while visiting from TX. I would never have guessed there to be such a nice winery in CT!
The grounds are very nice- they have chairs set up and some picnic tables but I recommend you to bring chairs/blankets and set up a picnic.
The wine here is fine, but nothing super exciting. There are other wineries in CT that have better local wine. You can do a tasting for $11 where they let you try different wines and you also get to keep one of the glasses. I ended up going for the Sassy Hawk white- would recommend for people who like dry white wines.

I came here with a small group to enjoy the winery on a cold Saturday afternoon. The place was very busy at 1pm but luckily we were able to get a seat on their second floor! With COVID you are seated and then someone goes to the bar area to order any food or wine options which are then taken back to the table. I felt that the system worked well and made things efficient. The wine prices were reasonable and there were a lot of different options for both red and white. They also had wine slushies which were great for someone who needs a sweet treat or doesn't typically drink much wine. The inside

I have never been to a winery outside of NY and this one has been on my list since October 2020. I had the chance to come here this weekend and try it out for the first time.
We did the wine tasting, which was 11.50 for 6 wines. Seating is given at a first come first served base and they open at 12 on mondays.
You did find some people sitting outside and enjoying some wine, but that is only if you want too. Hawk ridge was a nice little activity we decided to do and probably will do again when it's hotter outside.

I had such a fantastic time here and so did my mom, aunts, and grandma. It was pretty crowded but that's understandable considering how nice it was out. They have a huge lawn so it's easy enough to spread out.
I got their seasonal pumpkin frozen wine and really enjoyed it. It was nice and sweet, but not overwhelming. We also ordered a bunch of food, with the highlights being their truffle waffle fries and an amazing charcuterie board. Pro tip: order both and put the truffle aioli on the bread from the charcuterie. I loved the assortment of meat and cheese and 10/10 would recommend getting

My family and I decided to check out this new vineyard while out and about with the family. After a full day of visiting vineyards we stopped here before heading home.
We went to many vineyards in the Litchfield area and there were rules and regulations that were states to keep everyone safe on this nice warm Saturday enjoying some White, Red and Blended wines. We came prepared with blankets and food to snack on while enjoy the sun and wine.
But unfortunately when we arrived at Hawk Ridge we saw a mass gathering that made my family nervous considering the current situation with the pandamic.
