Since taking on our first clients in 2007, our North River family has grown substantially. We currently have over 15 office staff and more than 250 home care aides, including skilled nurses and social workers. With offices in Norwell and Sandwich, MA, we care for clients throughout Southshore, Cape Cod, and Metrowest Massachusetts.
Before opening North River, our founders, Heather and Laurel, were caregivers for several family members, involved in searching for and hiring home care agencies for their loved ones. They have seen both the successes of exceptional in-home care as well as the failures of inexperienced home care providers up close and personal, and these experiences led them to establish their Norwell home care agency.

Heather founded North River Home Care in 2007 with her mother, Laurel Lawson. Before starting the agency, Heather and her mother became certified nurse assistants (CNAs) and provided all client care until they were able to hire additional home health aides.
