Went looking for donuts this morning & the 1st shop was closed. Stopped into Sugar Pine (not in strip mall w/Mexican restaurant/market- behind it on corner of other building). They were out of donuts but the Lady working behind the counter asked what kind of donuts I was looking for & I said glazed/sugar & she offered to make fresh ones. Said it would only take 15 minutes! Now THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Also got 2 vanilla lattes! Very happy camper!!! Worth finding them - they deserve your business!

Love love love this bakery! My sister and I were actually looking for a little cake for a small birthday celebration but you have to pre-order them beforehand. No biggie! They have a wide variety of pastries, both sweet and savory, and some really cute seasonal goodies! Service was very good. The girl was patient and friendly. When we got home, we devoured everything! Sooo buttery and delicious!

Worst experience.
The custom cake I ordered was not ready to be picked up when I arrived. They did discount the cake, which I’m glad they did, the fondant was cracked and had elephant skin. I would have been upset to receive that it I paid $300.
The second cake I ordered was cancelled a week and a half before the date of the birthday. Every where is already booked. You cannot get a custom cake in less than two weeks.

Had high expectations for this bakery when visiting South Lake Tahoe. Left a bit disappointed. Had 2 of the breakfast bagel sandwiches, a couple muffins and cinnamon roll. The bill was over $30. Now I know everything cost a lot but for the quality it wasn't really worth the price. The blueberry muffin was pretty dry as was the cinnamon roll. (definitely needs to be heated to be enjoyable at all) I was looking for a ooey gooey type of cinnamon roll so maybe i created my own disappointment. The bagel sandwich was by far the best but only the bagel. The egg was over cooked and not too impressive

Difficult to find as bakery is behind a narrow parking lot not easily visible from busy Lake Tahoe blvd, and accessible only through a narrow one way corridor.

Only reason we came here was wife purchased a $4 www.restaurant.com voucher for $2. She intended to buy the sandwich in the morning, and eat it for lunch during our hike.

Came here and the person in front of us ordered a dozen donuts, each one different. Took 6 minutes for him to complete his selection, as not all his first choices were available.

Ordered the $7 turkey panini sandwich. Had to wait maybe 8 minutes for the sandwich

Nice little bakery in South Lake Tahoe. We got there kind of late in the day, so they didn't have their full selection available, but what we had was tasty!

The highlight was definitely the brownies. Both the cheesecake brownie and cappuccino brownie were excellent!

The cinnamon roll was also good. The frosting was light and not super overpowering, and also not overly sweet, which made it a little less of a guilty pleasure than usual.

Stop by today, they'll definitely have a cure for your sweet tooth!

Had a breakfast bagel sandwich, a chocolate croissant for later, and an iced coffee. All their pastries, pies, etc look amazing, and I like to support local places when I travel. All baked fresh in-house. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would recommend!

Food: 4/5
I purchased the banana chocolate chip muffin and it tasted pretty well! Unfortunately, if you want to buy bread, you have to order it 2 days ahead of time. They did have a large variety of cookies, pies, brownies, cupcakes, and other desserts.

Service: 4/5
The staff were friendly and knew a lot about each pastry. They took awhile to serve me even though I was the only one there, but they were busy making more desserts.

Decor: 3/5
The inside and outside wasn't the best quality, but still pretty was pretty nice.

Menu: 4.5/5
The menu had a wide variety of desserts that were all

This place makes fantastic sourdough bread! Truly great. Their sandwiches are generally really good, and they are extremely well priced for the area. Although their grilled cheese is underwhelming and needs more flavor; and sadly, their cookies need a lot of work... I'm pretty sure they make them with margarine and not butter, you can taste it. Also, they sell various coffees and teas for half the price of Starbucks. Worthy of a lunch stop by anyone visiting the area.

Came in for some coffee and doughnuts because this location was close to the betel we were staying at. Anae was very friendly and helpful with helping out with my order. The doughnuts were delicious and freshly made. They had a good selection of doughnuts. They also make cakes for all your special occasions, special Oder cakes, brownies, canolies, and chocolate covered strawberries. If your looking for a delicious breakfast bagel or breakfast croissant they have those too. Come on in and see what goodies will satisfy your craving and/or hunger.

Came in again the day after and Anai remembered my

Ordered a very simple cake for Easter and was really disappointed. The instructions were not followed, the cake was dense and the whipped cream filling was off tasting. While in the bakery I watched 3 children in the back running around the production area one of which was sneezing repeatedly and all of them not wearing masks. The 14 minute drive home with the cake on a flat and protected surface yielded a collapsed cake. Not even my 5 year old nephew would eat it. 🤮

Sugar pine bakery gets top credit for a seemingly low key place when we were in town for a family birthday weekend! Hubs and son have the same st paddy's day birthday! Looking for a last minute treat I was about to walk out of the bakery after stopping by for a minute when the friendly lady asked me if she could help. Before I know it I was looking through their custom cakes list and stopped soon as I saw my husbands fav tres leches cake. Unsure what I was signing up I placed an order to pick up the cake the next day on March 17th! She promised it would take into consideration my son&apos

We were celebrating my son's first birthday during the summer of the pandemic. We were lucky to find this bakery! We had a very small gathering of 4 people and they were kind enough to make the cake for his "Wild One". The cake was perfect - better than I had hoped. Tasty with just the right amount of sweetness.
Everything from placing the order to pick up was smooth.
Little one loved the cake too - he dug right in!
Thank you for making our day so special!

I hate to give this place a 1 star but it is well granted due to customer service.
I understand that allergies to baked goods is always a concern especially to pre made baked goods but this review is to warn anyone with allergies that this facility will not do anything to prevent cross contamination to new orders on baked goods.
We wanted to place an order ahead of time to assure cross contamination between cooking utensils and baking machinery. A simple cleaning of tools and simple step to prevent cross contamination is all that is needed for people with allergies to enjoy their baked goods

I was craving a donut a couldn't decide if we should stop for dessert here or a donut shop. I'm so glad we stopped here! They had baked maple and chocolate donuts still available when we came in around 2 pm. It was so good I didn't want to share, lol. The maple donut was also good, lots of flavor but my favorite was the chocolate donut, it's a choc. Cake donut, it was so moist and delicious! My boyfriend and I also shared an Apple turnover which was also very good and not too sweet. It tasted so fresh, the apples were perfect. Hopefully we have time to stop in one more time

I went here twice in 3 days! The first time I went with my sister (we walked from the Tahoe Seasons Resort - what a hill to walk back up!). We got there around 8am and we walked right in! The woman wore a mask and upon entering you must wear a mask. Everything looked amazing! My sister eats healthier than me, so I got the baked donut (50% off!!). It was so decadent. Drool!

The second time I went with my husband. The people in front of us took FOREVER! When we finally got to pick, we got two baked donuts and the sausage filled croissant. Again, the donuts were unforgettable and the croissant was

Angel is a true baker (confectioner). And we the German Guys were not only there once. Spent many months at the LTH. If someone has claimed the opposite of producing food, they have little idea or clue about how much sweat and work it is. (It's not mass-produced) Its baked goods are very close to our bakers. He is a baker with passion and does his job, he is not just called Angel, he is also a good hearted angel as well as his whole family. I hope we meet again soon. Allison and Mary Sue keep asking about his delicious cakes, and the Bagels a poem as well as his cappuccino there is nothing to complain

We arrived after 11, so we missed out on trying the cranberry orange loafs of bread as they were all gone. We tried the chocolate and ham and cheese croissants. Both delicious. The cranberry orange muffin wasn't as moist as I had hoped and was more dense but yummy if you like that. Apple Danish was delicious too. I did think it was a little pricey as the muffin was $3.75.
