I love LA Bakery and try to stop in whenever I'm in Carson. They have top notch desserts and pastries. I think this would be my go to if I need a fancy cake for a party or event. The lemon bars are huge- they have them in a gluten free version too. There's numerous gluten-free sweets and a few vegan baklava and cookies too. They certainly taste as good as they look!
Try the pink chai if it's on the menu- it has more spicy nuances than your regular made-from-a-mix chai.

Means a lot to someone who can’t have gluten to have so many great gluten free options here. I had the Eggdiction - eggs, gf toast and baked potatoes. One of the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had and potatoes was baked to perfection, not greasy at all.
Not many places you can find gluten free carrot cake abs here they have it 😊

I normally have a great experience here but this morning the guy who helped me with my pick up order was extremely rude. He asked me my name and what my order was 3 times before he got rude and said listen we have a lot of orders just tell me what it was. There was literally one bag sitting on the counter to go.

We stope by this place and get coffee/tea and pastries to eat and take some home with us.
Yesterday we ordered coffee, latte, tea and Napoleon pastry and cheesecake but when I nicely mentioned to the young girl cashier that my coffee was lukewarm she seemed to have an attitude and was rude to me like she didn’t care!
Service has never been the best in this place but
Yesterday’s experience was embarrassing in front of our guests from out of town.
Obviously the management/owners don’t pay attention to negative behavior of the staff and tee

With 20 plus years in professional kitchens, I know what something should look like and taste like, and they just nail it.
Yesterday I had my first slice of the LAB carrot cake, and wow! The cake was spiced perfectly, the cream cheese frosting was delicious, and one slice lasted as dessert for two separate days' dessert.
Here is my one gripe, and it is not really a complaint; I LOVE lemon bars, and the shortbread crust has to be a bit less blond to get the proper taste profile for me, and I believe they they should

The food is great but your staffs acts like they are so busy they don’t see you! A friendly “hi, we’ll be with you in just a moment would be nice and considerate! But No they just leave you standing there, ignoring you! To the owners, I’d address this in order not to loose your clientele. Good luck

One of those GEMS in CC! Such a fancy pastry shop with homemade soups and sandwiches. Kind of like someone dressed with a fancy silk brocade top with faded jeans, in a good way.

I am not local but was in desperate need of a latte. My mom and I found this place, around the corner of our hotel. The coffee was amazing. The staff is AMAZING TOO!! Also I have tried their cheese pocket Danish and tom basil home made bagel. Which both are absolutely delicious! I love this place and will miss it when we go home!

I went for lunch with my two other friends, who also have never been.
I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich and a bag of chips. My friends ordered the salmon sandwich and the soup of the day ( asparagus ) .
It was a little busy, as it was the lunch rush, however the wait to receive the food was reasonable.
My pastrami sandwich was good, bread toasted and pickles were crispy. The sandwich was good tasting with a good amount of pastrami

This was my first time visiting this place and it was so cute! The iced latte was strong but delicious. The house potatoes were great, service was friendly and the interior had a lot of artsy visuals.
Relatively decent morning rush and it didn't feel overwhelming to find a place and sit down and enjoy the meal.

I ordered 2 slices of pumpkin cheesecake 2 slices of banana cheesecake & 2 slices of the almond pecan cheesecake , 4 chocolate cupcakes and 3 carrot cupcakes for a dinner party I was having... They looked absolutely beautiful to Our Delight

The best of the worst. I went to LA Bakery because of the great reviews. Unfortunately, the reviews don't stand up to the experience. On my first occasion of ordering from this place, I ordered the pastrami… sandwich and an orders of fries. The pastrami sandwich was underwhelming and dry. It lacked flavor and did not appear to be something made in house. Being the forgiving person that I am (because maybe that wasn't their best dish), I ordered a gyro sandwich and a tuna melt; but I received a turkey melt. But here is what I got for my human error:

Very good. I had a lemon bar and a mediterranean wrap. The lemon bar had the right balance of sweet and sour. The wrap had a generous portion of vegetables, cheese and was seasoned well. For the gluten-free folks, they have quite a nice selection that you should be able to find something to tempt you.

This place has good food, they are a bit pricey but the quality is what you're paying for. I ordered 3 orders this past month for three birthdays, my grandma, mom and work mom (haha). I gave them no instructions besides the flavors/frosting choices on the two cakes, and they delivered with really beautiful simple flavorful cakes. I wasn't too pleased with the customer service around it, because it genuinely seemed like they're extremely understaffed and seemed to be too busy to take the time to speak to me but I was willing to live with it if the baker put their skills where their mouth was and

I use to adore this place. Was the best place in Carson. Last two visits have been horrible. Sandwiches just thrown together, looked like the lily melt was slapped together and messy, cheese wasn’t even melted on the grilled cheese. Tuna was soggy and half cold half warm. I’m not mad I’m just highly disappointed.

When the COVID-19 pandemic is over, I'll consider enjoying a nice sit-down breakfast or lunch here. In the meantime, I've been here in the take-out line picking out various versions of their amazing scones and maybe a few cookies thrown in. There are also various gluten-free options for those so inclined.
I originally found out about LA Bakery in a "Best of Carson" issue via the Nevada Appeal newspaper. Until then, I did not know that any non-grocery story bakery existed outside of Schat's. It's a little farther drive from Genoa, but is worth the extra distance
