Wild Cherries Coffee House has been serving the community since 1998. Kristin Krone, a native Truckee resident and two time Olympian in alpine skiing, along with Gary Talbot, local entrepreneur and fellow coffee connoisseur became acquainted in 1984 at the first local coffee Roastery, Truckee River Coffee Roasters.
Inspired by the bakeries of Austria and Switzerland, the bakery was built in 2017 with state of the art equipment to bring a new level of baking to Wild Cherries and to northern California. High standards, quality ingredients and a passion for what we are doing result in the most delicious breads and the tastiest pastries and pies!

I love wild cherries so much. The hospitality was the best of any coffee hize I have ever been to. It was so great that I went every single day that I stayed in truckee. One day I want to work at wild cherries and become the hospitable human being that I encountered each and every single day that I was at wild cherries. Gee I love wild cherries more than I love life. I love it so much that I bought merchandise from the store and I never do that! Wild cherries plugged a hole in my heart ❤️ I love wild cherries so much ❤️❤️❤️

Great choice of sandwiches, bagels, bakery items and drinks! Always stop here for some food on my way back. It was great for the past 4 years - sounds like a lot, but it was 4 times only. This time I got hairs in my lox bagel, and stomach ache from cappuccino muffin - I know that for sure, used myself as test subject. Anyways, great place, but only 4 stars over some quality issues 1 time out of 4. Love souvenir mugs too!

Our family always loves Wild Cherries. Great food & drink, cheerful and efficient service, and the staff are just nice people. Everything you could reasonably want in a cafe/coffee shop! Our 4-yr-old specifically asked to go there when we told him we were going up to Truckee from Sacramento to go hiking for the day. Thanks for being our go-to spot in the area!

What a cute cafe! The prices are good and lots of outdoor seating. Really cute branding too. I got a chai tea latte and greatly enjoyed it.
Updated review 3 months later. Found out that the beans were from Temple Coffee, which is from Sacramento area. Though the prices at this cafe is amazing and you really can't beat $1 coffee and $1.50 day old pastries, I think the americano was okay and the latte tasted kind of diluted. I think it was the brewing method or something, it tasted a bit underextracted. Also no cute latte art.
