The past 6 weeks have been life-changing! Shifting my diet to include more proteins and only whole foods thanks to a nutrition session and plan with Mike was the first step. Then the adding in of personal training sessions that focus on a total body workout with HIIT, weights, and cardio have changed my body and mind for the good. I go to the SET… three days a week, and do intense incline walks on the off days. As of yesterday, at the 6-week mark of my training and nutrition plan, I have lost 4% body fat, with no weight loss, meaning I am turning fat into muscle! I have seen my strength

The SET's personal trainers are encouraging, challenging, and consistent. I have had the opportunity to train at the SET for over a year, and keep coming back due to the level of knowledge and care of the trainers. I have been able to reach and maintain my goals, and continue to enjoy the personalized workouts. I have participated in personal training at other gyms in the greater Nashville area, and none compare to the overall genuine, professional, and challenging experience of the SET.

I have been training at the set since June 2016; and in 7 months I have lost over 20 pounds! I have never felt better in my entire life, I have slimmed down, gained muscle and feel more energized. Darren's eating plan is hard at first if you normally eat a lot of sweets, but after two weeks I didn't even miss sugary and fatty foods.
I workout with Katie two-three times a week for 1 hour. I enjoy every session; she knows my limits and when I can push myself. Katie's workout plan is full of strength training and cardio combined. I never feel like it's just leg day or arm day; it is a full body workout

What an amazing place to work out! They really helped me focus on building strength for myself:) I had a great experience working out with Darren, he really challenged me in a positive and motivating way! You get so much out of the workout in just thirty minutes, I saw very quick results. I highly recommend working out at the SET!!!!:)

My son has been a client of The Set for almost two years and we are very happy with his progress. An added bonus from this team was the relationship that they have developed with him and the way they positively motivate him. When he goes into The Set he feels like he's going to workout with a friend. This is not to say the workout is easy, he often tells me how hard it is. The SET is single the best fitness decision I have made (and I do not write reviews).
The SET offers flexible scheduling (we are all busy), a positive environment (easy,fun to go), and an individualized plan based on your goals with nutrition advise/counseling tied in. They care, they customize and are not afraid to push you - you are better than you think you are.
I am 6 weeks in, 20lbs down, and yet to repeat an exercises - variety is key for me. My wife has totally different goals, a couple months in, maybe a pound of two down but trimmer and toned - she loves it.

Two months ago I walked into theSET looking for someone to help me workout smarter. It was
probably the best decision I have made in a long time as it pertains to improving my life and health.

Darren Elder can be described in two words, life changer! His wealth of knowledge about fitness and nutrition is amazing! Darren was my trainer for over a year. I can't begin to tell how Great an experience it was for me. I went from 196 to a low of 169. My body fat % dropped dramatically. Darren made the workouts super interesting and pushed me to a point where I said to myself '' There is no way I just Accomplished that!!'' LOL Darren is kind, friendly and I miss my time with him. Book while you can, he will have a loyal fan base quickly!!

Never thought I would be writing a weight lost testimony. I have struggled with my weight most of my adult life and tried every diet known to man. My entire family is overweight and I just conceited that I had the “fat gene” and could never be thin.
As I got older it got harder to shed the extra 10 lbs I packed on every winter. I typically wore… a size 8 to 10 and was semi satisfied with my pleasantly plump body. Gradually the size shifted to 10 and 12.

Many trainers don't understand the struggles of weight loss and strength building. Darren approaches it from a logical sense to help you achieve YOUR goals. When you fail yourself, he's there to remind you of it but is encouraging enough to get you back on track. 70 pounds and stronger than I was in high school. That is my goal and were on phase two now. Education, consistency, encouragement, and accountability.
