Very nice people and I wanted to give a great review, but the work on one of my garments was very subpar. 4 of 5 pieces that required very simple work (i.e. shorten sleeve, pants, etc.) came out fine.
But the one that required marginally more detailed work had very messy sewing, uneven sewing all over bunched material that was not meant to be bunched, etc. Very disappointing as I wanted to support a local small business.
They fixed the problem and even then it was still sloppy work, tho better than the egregiously unacceptable previous work. I would recommend starting with simple work and see

Upon recommendation from a friend I took two suits to be altered, as I had lost weight in the past year. On July 26, I went in and they pinned, and took photos and August 9 I went back to pick them up. My J Crew suit, was "ok" but I needed it for an event so took it home that day, I was not too pleased. The other, a brand new Hugo Boss, looked awful. I told them and they did more pinning and more pictures. In good faith, I paid $370 cash for the "discount" for both suits and left.

I had a dress totally reconstructed (added an open back and a slit) they got in done in less than a weeks notice, stayed open late to me and adjusted it to my liking after i tried it on. So kind, hard working, and good at their jobs. This was a hard job and the dress came out perfect! Thank you so much Hong Kong Tailors <3 I will definitely be using them in the future. xx

Wish I could give them 0 stars. Horrible customer service. When I went to pick up the dress a week after dropping it off I noticed that there were still pins all over the dress - turns out they hadn't even touched the dress. When I went to pick it up AGAIN a few days later they clearly rushed to get it done and did a horrible job. Take in mind they also charged me $210 and gave me absolutely nothing for not having it done when they said they would.

I would avoid this business. They increased the price 3 times while I was there and ended up charging me 70 bucks for something that started at 35.
Update- 24 hours after the above fiasco, the owner is now saying they cannot repair my item at all and asking me to go all the way back to pick it up. What a joke! Will update the review with resolution....

I came here to have a dress altered. The instructions I gave didn't end up working very well, so when I came back to pick up the dress, we brainstormed a solution and they fixed it on the spot. This wasn't the cheapest alteration I ever had done, but I really appreciated their flexibility and willingness to troubleshoot. The dress came out exactly how I wanted in the end!

I concur with JM's experience and wish I had read her review before bringing my clothes to this tailor. I had the exact same experience! Like JM I also urge you to STAY AWAY! It is not just that things went wrong, it is how the problems were handled. I got to the point where I thought I was in an episode of "What Would You Do?" and kept waiting for John Quiñones to pop out and tell me I was being punked. It was truly that remarkably bad.

Last night I had a wardrobe malfunction and had to go to a holiday party for a company I will be working for next month. The tailor shop was just about to close when I came in. They were extremely hospitable and helpful. They were able to replace the zipper on my dress and fix a hole really quickly. I was only fashionably late to the event. I am very grateful for their quick, efficient work and service. They saved my night!

Best bang for buck. A tuxedo that I have needed some major edits and the tuxedo is well fitted. Pricing was very fair and much lower than the suiting experts all over the city. You will need to give direction and have a good eye, but if you are in the know, this place is well worth it. I will definitely come back for my hard to alter items.

OMG!! STAY AWAY! I cannot even begin to tell you how bad this place is. I took a $600 dress in to be hemmed and have the sides taken in a little. I had to go back 5 times and they moved the seams so much that the material is ruined. This was a very simple job - not at all difficult. The dress will never be ok. And to top it off, I had to explain more than 10 times why I wanted my money back - over $100 - and they said that they didn't understand. As good as it gets. I've been to a lot of tailors in the city and this is the most efficient shop I've seen. Had me jeans altered here and they had it ready for me to pick up the same day and the job was impeccable. Friendly staff and very reasonable pricing for the city. I bought a Hugo Boss suit off the rack, the fit was decent but I wanted a perfect fit. I looked on Google for a professional who could fine tune it and give it that GQ look. I found this place and the reviews were almost too good to be true. As soon as I walked in and explained what I wanted to the owner I knew I was at the right place. She agreed with my wishes, and then schooled me in extra touches she would do to make it as perfect as an off the rack suit could be.

I recently had 11 items tailored/patched up and each was done perfectly. One silk top had several tears which I thought meant it was a goner, but it looks good as new now! Amazing work and prices are reasonable for the quality and speed. Staff is very friendly and their hours are really convenient since they open until 7 during the week and during the weekend.
