The Montessori Children's Room, located in Armonk, New York, is a private educational center dedicated to providing a quality education with high academic standards in a warm loving environment. The Montessori Children's Room grew from a group of parents who banded together in 1968 to provide the materials and atmosphere where their children could grow into warm people who reach for excellence in all things.
Two years later the school moved to its present location on Old Route 22 next to Armonk's Whippoorwill Park. Services
The College Board has selected Christine Fernandez, a senior at Convent of the Sacred Heart (and former Montessori Children's Room Student), as a scholar in the 2009-10 National Hispanic Recognition Program. Fernandez is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Fernandez of West Harrison. The National Hispanic Recognition Program was initiated in 1983 to identify outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students.
Our theme based summer camp program for children 18 months to 6 years is a perfect way for your child to enjoy summer to its fullest potential. Children meet new friends, play new games, try new foods and even speak new languages. The Montessori Children's Room accepts children from toddler age to first grade. This is a school, not a day care center, therefore, children enroll for the academic year. On a space available basis we will enroll a child during the year. Our school day runs from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Our half day program runs from 9:00 to 1:00pm.

Montesorri Childrens Room is hands down the best education decision we have ever made for our children. The environment is so calming and peaceful. Montesorri has been an amazing experience for my children as well as my husband and I. My children loved being there and although they are no longer there, they still talk about how they miss it there. By the age of 4 all my children were reading fluently and one of my daughters was even writing her own books!! I just can't express in words how grateful I am to the staff at Montesorri for being so wonderful and caring. It's not always easy to leave

The success my children are having now in high school, middle school and elementary I can attribute to the amazing start they got at the Montessori Children's School. All four of my children went there for preschool through Kindergarten/1st grade. The method of teaching had them reading while in preschool which is ahead of Kindergarten in my public school. The school is very well run with phenomenal teachers. They are consistently striving for a loving environment that pushes kids to their potential and they are very good communicators.
