Asta Funding
Asta Funding is a diversified financial services company that assists consumers and serves investors through the strategic management of our four complementary businesses. Founded in 1994, Asta began operations as a subprime auto lender. The company went public in 1995. While many subprime auto lenders did not succeed, Asta completed two successful $25 million securitizations through Greenwich Capital Markets.

Then, as now, Asta's management relied on its vast experience in the consumer receivables market. As the company grew, Asta gained recognition by correctly evaluating portfolios with a keen understanding of the underlying cycles of consumer behavior in a changing economy.
Services
In each business segment, Asta brings a focus on service and results that help resolve problems for people, while rewarding investors. Asta has a growing international portfolio in debt collection and debt management. The company currently operates in 3 countries in Latin America, with a vision to expand our footprint internationally.
Gary Stern is chairman, and founding president and chief executive officer of Asta Funding. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that align business requirements, improve operational efficiencies, and deliver growth. Report
This company has engaged in a decade long consumer fraud scheme. If you are contacted by them or Palisades Collections you need to contact an attorney right away. It's very likely that whatever debt or judgment they are trying to collect was illegally obtained or is otherwise unenforceable or noncollectable. I personally observed fraud occurring on hundreds of thousands of accounts at ASTA/Palisades.
