Kathy Cannella bought the Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue in 2016. She earned her degree in Hospitality Management from Texas Tech University and had always dreamed of owning an Event Venue ever since she was 19 years old and finally that dream came true! She absolutely LOVES what she does and has a real passion for helping her clients create those special memories by providing the perfect venue for them.

We got called a week before our wedding by Kathy and was told the venue was totally destroyed by the 100 yr winter storm. She worked diligently with us to come up with a solution. After a day to getting details worked out Kathy moved our date and kept us on the 21st, very important to us. She would have moved a mountain to keep us on the day we had set if she could have.
The wedding day was amazing and the entire location was set for us. We were able to enjoy this place with cabin for 3 days and would recommend Kathy anytime. She goes above and beyond. Her venue shows how much she cares. Thank

This was the best place to get married!!! Kathy made all of our dreams come true! She is so helpful and just a wonderful lady! I will be recommending her to all future brides to be!! What a blessing this day was to us!! She went above and beyond and really treated us like family!!! I connected with her so much that she carried my train down the steps for me in the ceremony, she’s just an angel!! She was there to help with anything anyone needed and do anything to make our day special!! We love Kathy! 💗💗💗💗💗💗

Had a wonderful time attending my mother's wedding here, saw family I haven't seen in forever. Plenty of space for some fun activities and guest rooms are on-site. Very cute place and some amazing memories made.
Update: Management doesn't seem to care about your feelings of safety, I guess. Was a 5 star rating. With all the money the venue makes and they can't fix a lock. Had it not been for the fact that there was an empty room available for us to move into, we simply would have left and my mother would have been upset about the whole ordeal as I do not see her often. The door that doesn't lock

What a wonderful getaway. This place was a blast! We brought our grandkids 12,12 and 11. They had so much fun running around the property, then Kathy said, "this Western town is yours! Enjoy!" The excitement in their eyes was priceless.
The Salon was over the top. Made game time and family time memorable. If you looking for a great place to get away and relax this is the place.
The air conditioning in the main house is wonderful during these hot summer Texas days. The house is very spacious and more than plenty of room to sit around.

Perfect get away with the family and grand kids. Very welcoming atmosphere, great space indoors and outdoors. Beautiful grounds. So many memories made with games, outdoor fire pit, fishing in creek, morning coffee on front porch, going to the lake and so much more. If you want a family friendly place to stay, then this is the place for you. All ages will love the experience! Kathy is a gracious host and is so caring and concerned about her guests.

Kathy is very friendly and welcoming. Great hospitality. Super fun place to stay! We had a blast hanging outside in the shady yard, playing horseshoes, and sitting on the large front porch in the mornings drinking coffee; ample room to walk my dogs too! The bedrooms were comfy and the living area was super nice. After a long day going to local amusements we enjoyed the living room area watching Netflix on the big screen TV. Highly recommend and want to return again with family!

This venue was beautiful!Me and my husband loved every bit of it!!the log cabin is so cute and my kids had a great time spending the weekend there.My wedding was more then I could have ever dreamed of and Cathy is so sweet and she made everything stress free and easy!I give this place 10+ stars!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
