Kailua-Kona is in Hawaii County, Hawaii, United States. It is the center of commerce and of the tourist industry on the West side of the "Big Island." The city is served by Kona International Airport. The community was established by King Kamehameha I to be his seat of government when he was chief of Kona before he consolidated rule of the Hawaiian Islands, and it later became the capital of the newly unified Kingdom of Hawaii.
Hale A Kai - means Home by the sea. is it EVER! 1/4 miles walk from Magic Sands Beach, 1 mile from Kahalu'u Beach Park! Walk to the beach. Sleeps 10, avaiable in the summer for smaller parties at lower rates (rent 1-2-3 bedrooms only). Pack up the beach cart with gear and towels and take a 5 minute walk to the white sands and blue water of Magic Sands Beach.
One word: HUGE! Newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 3 bath condo is fully stocked with everything you need to make your vacation hassle free. Sleeps up to 6 vacationers. Right in the heart of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island, there are NO STAIRS to access this unit and we have a keyless entry system so you don't have to worry about late arrival.
