We fell in love with the house and property the moment we saw it 3 years ago. Yes, the view of Kona and the coastline is the best that we saw in our two years of house hunting. But what struck us was the sense of serenity and calm this property and location afforded us. We immediately felt that we were "home."
The Vista Suite is on the south side of the Villa and offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in a spacious (1,600 sq ft) Hawaiian layout with a fully furnished gourmet kitchen, beautiful living/dining room, incredible master bedroom/bathroom suite - all impeccably outfitted with fantastic vistas from every window and door.
This lovely cottage was built as the caretaker's dwelling for the previous owners. Because they were interested in privacy it has its own entrance and sits on a slightly lower level than the main house. Its size is 550 square feet and is a true one bedroom with doors that separate the bedroom from the living room.
The view from the pool can only really be appreciated by being in it. The waters edge disappearing over the great expanse of the Pacific Ocean and the shore line of Kailua-Kona is a breathtaking sight. The pool is 15 feet wide by 30 feet long and is 4.5 feet deep at its deepest. The steps leading into the pool are a perfect launching spot for youngsters.
We are often asked about recommendations about what to see on the Big Island. There is so much to see and do it really depends on how active you want to be and your interests. Volcano is about a two hour and 15 minute drive from Kona (depending on weather and traffic.) About half of our guests visit Volcano as a day trip.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking to travel to Kona. The estate looks out to view the bustling Kona city scape. There are a many a gorgeous sunsets to be seen. The estate is about 5 minutes from groceries and amenities. The estate is an active coffee plantation and also has bananas, pineapple and a few other tree fruits. Around the estate there are geckos, turkeys, mongoose, egret, pheasants, and every once in a while chickens(the turkeys keep the chickens out normally. The Lanai is beautiful. The host and hostess are top notch and ensure that your stay is an experience worth remembering
