We strive to keep the patient at the center of all of our decisions in order to provide the best possible care available in our community.

I invite you to peruse our website as it provides a wealth of information about our mental health services and our programs and what makes Aurora unique. Whether you are seeking services for you, a loved one or someone you know, choosing the right provider is an important decision. Our team understands the importance of your treatment decision and is standing by to help you begin your road to recovery.
Services
Sometimes, everyday life can be overwhelming and people need help coping with life's challenges. Through compassionate care, clinical excellence, and individualized treatment, Aurora Behavioral Health System is dedicated to serving the behavioral health and addiction treatment needs of Arizonans.

As the state's largest free-standing psychiatric hospital system, we are committed to the wellness of individuals, their families, and the community through prevention, intervention, and treatment. We do this by offering a full spectrum of behavioral healthcare services in a warm, inviting atmosphere where patients actively participate in their own treatment.
We have two hospitals as part of the Aurora Behavioral Health System. Our West campus is located in Glendale, Arizona and our East campus is located in Tempe, Arizona. First, you will meet with an RN to determine medical stability and will complete a brief assessment. At that point, you will meet with an Intake Counselor from our Assessment and Referral department.
At Aurora Behavioral Health System in Arizona, we aim for excellent patient care. We provide comprehensive mental health programs that are designed to treat adolescent and adult patients with dignity and respect. We provide services and support to thousands of patients from across Arizona every year.
Aurora Behavioral Health System works to make the admission process for our patients as easy as possible. To begin the process, all you have to do is pick up the phone and call our Patient Services department. They are standing by 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to take your call. Aurora Behavioral Health System's Patient Services team can also answer questions regarding funding.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care for our patients and to help keep them safe while they are in our care. In order to do so, we have guidelines around what can and cannot be brought for a patient's stay. Many of these guidelines are in response to mental health laws and regulations, and all of our guidelines seek to protect the safety of our patients.

Hello, what is the schedule to be able to call? I have called at least 20x and I get no one. Just rings over and over. This happened last night also but I only had to call like 10x before someone finally answered. I appreciate all you have done but I can't get in touch with my loved one and I am starting to get very irritated!!!!

All-in-all, it is what you make of it. If you attend every group offered, socialize with the other patients, time will go by faster. If you stay here, recommend bringing books, journal, magazine, crayons, crossword puzzles; something to keep yourself busy. Time

Daughter was put here after being hospitalized and we waited 6 hours in a room mixed with adults and teenagers. First of all they should not mix adults with teenagers. It was a scarey situation seeing another person yelling and screaming at another person who was just sitting there. When I told facility I wanted to remove my daughter because I found another treatment option I have a plan in place they didn’t care only wanted to threaten to involve Child protective service and that they would still keep her 24 hours. They only want money. If I mentioned I have another place and proof of her appointment

I feel so sad to see any negatives comments on this facility. In the midst of COVID I admitted myself here and this place changed my life. I met so many people learning how to cope and honestly life long friends. Not to mention, the staff in my wing was nothing short of Exceptional. Respected my concerns, addressed my issues and cared for me the way I needed. It has been since 3/2020 and I haven’t had another drink since. So before you read the bad and negative reviews, make sure you read the positive. It was a completely new experience for me and they really customized my experience to what

I made a lot of good friends but oh my god, was it boring and depressing. I understand that's the point of it but they intensified it by a lot. Steve the PCM was alright though. Same thing with Doctor Tan Fermo and Cameron (lead loser) the lead BHT. I liked them. They were cool.

I would give this facility a 0 if it was possible. They are completely useless and frustrating beyond belief! The front staff has absolutely no idea what is ever going on. They are completely oblivious of their own rules and regulations. The staff inside are sub par at best. The only reason I took my daughter there is because it was recommended by name from her therapist. Never again! If you have a choice (and you do) please make an educated decision and steer away from here

The staff was so kind to me. There’s plenty of group therapies that also included gym time, swimming, animal therapy with dogs & horses and arts & crafts. Food is good considering it’s a hospital.

I have been able to participate in a number of virtual CEU opportunities this year. I have enjoyed all of them. The platform is user friendly. The staff is very professional and kind. I look forward to attending more virtual CEU's.
