Born in State College, PA, Dr. Ethan A. Lowe earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Evansville, which he attended on a swimming scholarship. He then was accepted at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1999.
A hygiene appointment is typically a patient's first interaction with us. From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm hello by our friendly office staff. After completing our initial paperwork, you will then meet with our Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) who will speak with you about your oral history and any concerns.
Speedy Smiles at Mountain Family Dental can transform your smile without wearing conventional metal braces. Ideal for adults with crooked, crowded or spaced teeth, the Speedy Smiles technique combines time-tested orthodontic methods with the use of high-tech arch wires to exert a light, continuous force to the move teeth into the desired position-quickly, gently and safely.
At Mountain Family Dental, we accept most dental insurance. In fact, unlike many, we accept assignment of benefits. In other words, we will estimate in advance what your insurance will pay towards your treatment and accept that as payment. The patient, however, is still responsible for the remaining balance or co-pay after insurance.

Every time we go to the dentist, I am so impressed by the staff. Dr Lowe is fine but the women in that office are amazing. The hygienists take their time and make you want to be their friends, the dental assistants are considerate and easy to talk to, and the ladies at the front desk are the nicest, most helpful and accommodating people I’ve ever dealt with - even my kids love them all.
Having a good dentist is important but going to the dentist and knowing you are going to have a great experience and be cared for with such kindness every step of the way sets this place apart.

My wife and I have been going to Mountain Family Dental for many years and we have always had positive experiences with Dr. Lowe and his staff. They are always easy to work with as far as scheduling and billing is concerned. The office is very clean and we are always treated with professionalism. We would definitely recommend this dental practice to anyone!

My family has been attending Mountain Family Dental for over 10 years. They are always on time. They accommodate both adults and children very well. We love the service we have received there, and we've referred many friends over the years. They also offer a great annual plan for those without dental insurance.

In mid February I had a crown replaced. A 3D printed cap was put in, much to my surprise. Within 24 hours part of the cap or underlying adhesive fell out, leaving the tooth exposed. I called and without seeing me, I was told it was just part of the external adhesive. It was not. I could stick a fingernail half way under the crown. I was in constant pain day and night, losing sleep. I called and called, wanting a diagnosis, do I need the cap replaced or do I need a root canal? They kept putting me off with one excuse after another. We don't have "seat time" I was told. We'll see you at your next
