Following the success of the vineyard, we built our winery in 1981. We decided to build underground, using the comfort of the earth to provide the natural temperature the wines enjoy. Starting at a mere few hundred gallons, we were on our way. We have a ton of fun new experiences at FHV! Along with our test tastings, wine flights and wine by the glass we're now offering Party Pouches, Sangria Growlers to go and MORE!

Adam - King Pin - 1974 - Working before he could walk Adam is the creative genius behind many of the amazing wines, labels and ideas at FHV. At a very early age he could be spotted on Elaine's back while she worked the vineyard. Inspired by his mother, he followed in her footsteps as a pioneer in the beverage industry.
We are proud to be the Lehigh Valley's oldest winery! Take a cruise through Bangor, PA's beautiful farm lands, and turn onto Franklin Hill Road. Order a flight of your favorite reds and whites, and taste why the wines have proudly won so many awards! During your visit, ask one of our many helpful staff members how we "do it", and you may just be whisked away on an up-close tour by our the owner, Elaine Pivinski, or master winemaker, Bonnie.

Out on the town and craving your favorite mouth-watering wine? Visit one of the great local establishments that carry our wine and quench your thirst! We are proud to have bartenders from Allentown to Bloomsburg serving up our wine to their patrons. You'll find our Trio to be their House Red and our Vidal Blanc as their House White.
Franklin Hill has grown from 3,000 barrels per year, to 60,000 per year. In a world where technical details are championed, Bonnie's approach to winemaking is simple and empirical. Pennsylvania is fifth in wine production in the United States, but in Bonnie's words, I don't think people realize that you can grow grapes in Pennsylvania.
