Everyone said we were crazy when we gave up our jobs (teaching and pharmaceutical sales) to open a winery. They were right in a way, because we are crazy about what we do. We decided to try it on our own here in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. So, we planted six varieties of grapes on our driveway's split rail fence.
It has always been our mission to create the greatest experience for our guests by providing them with the finest products possible made with the least amount of chemical intervention in the vineyard, winemaking, and brewing process. Our goal is to leave our farm in better condition than when we bought it.
When we started making wine for our friends and family more than ten years ago, it was a hobby just for fun. Over the years, we have honed our skills on the farm and in the wine-making area. Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves when we realize our little hobby has grown into a major passion and a thriving business.
At first, this English style brew provides a biscuity, nutty flavor with subtle hints of caramel. With the addition of nugget hops, those malty flavors are balanced out by the perfect amount of bitterness and a low hop aroma. This English style ale is truly refined and distinguished, just like Sir William of Goatington.
Mountain View Wine Bar and Tap Room is a second location to our main winery, brewery, & distillery in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania following sustainable, eco-friendly practices. November 23, 2021- We did a 2 night get away in the Pocono's and were lucky enough that had searched for a winery to visit and got to spend the afternoon at the Mountain View Vineyard, Winery, Brewery & Distillery! Service... A+ from the time we walked in the door. Not a big crowd being a Tuesday, but I am sure the service that Casey and David gave us (from Ohio) is the same they give everyone that comes. We had great conversation and you would of thought we had known them for years.
We had a wine flight, beer flight, and a couple cocktails...AMAZING!

Our server David was absolutely phenomenal , he was kind, informative and recommended a lot of great items and drinks on the menu. He joked around with us and was an absolute pleasure from the start of service all the way to the end. Absolutely amazing service and vineyard/brewery and bistro. 13/10 would gladly go again. Thank you again David for making our witch themed bachelorette party one to remember :)

I came here with some family during our summer vacation to the Poconos and was blown away by the stunningly beautiful atmosphere and views. The bistro menu is small but super tasty and thoughtfully crafted. The staff was also really friendly and their service was prompt. We had a socially distanced wine tasting during our lunch there and everything we drank was absolutely exquisite. We left with a bottle of white wine and will definitely be back for more. As a cute added bonus they even give out a free wine glass after every tasting. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!
