I had some silverware and gold from my mother's estate that was gathering dust. I contacted Joel to see if he would evaluate what I had. I was able to quickly get an appointment.
I spent over an hour with Joel. He is truly a standup guy. He was patient and took his time evaluating the collection I brought in. Understandably, many of the items turned out to be plated or pewter (basically worthless) but Joel was able to identify a number of valuable gold and silver pieces. He was meticulous in uniquely identifying each item due to different valuations.

I found this location thinking I'd compare it with few more locations. But immediately after meeting Joel, I decided to go with him. He is very honest and thorough. He doesn't hide what he does or make you feel dumb for not knowing what goes behind valuation. I would have never expected to have such a pleasant experience. You won't feel cheated!

I bought two rings from Joel and was blown away by the experience. He is extremely honest, professional, and knowledgeable. He normally doesn't make jewelry sales to walk in customers, but just so happened to have exactly what we were looking for. And he even arranged to have our rings resized and polished. They are beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

Joel was absolutely excellent to work with! He made himself available on a weekend to meet with me, was very fair in his offer, did everything he said he would do, and was incredibly knowledgeable & pleasant as well.

I took a bit of time to find a place I'd be comfortable walking into with valuables and after calling and speaking with Joel, decided this would be it. My gut was right - he was professional and quite considerate in taking the time for each piece I had. His office had all the appropriate tools and as what I hope would be customary at all places, he always kept everything within my view and explained his testing gadgets. At the end, he gave me a very fair deal and I'll definitely be going back, should I decide to part w any more items.

Everyone should know about Westlake Gold! I went in twice in the last 2 weeks to sell some old jewelry, as was very happy with the service Joel provided! He was kind, honest, and a real pro in the business. If you have old pieces sitting around you don't love, take them in! I feel relieved after letting go of old pieces I never wore. It was much easier to sell them to Joel than post on eBay! I was nervous at first about the whole thing, selling jewelry, but after talking to Joel a few minutes I totally felt at ease.
