A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Digital radiographs (x-rays) are an important diagnostic tool for dental professionals. While traditional film radiographs provide critical insight into the oral and physical health of the patient, hi-tech digital radiographs allow dentists to view and enhance dental images on a large computer screen.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic X-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. I had heard such raving reviews about Dr. Wherley's dental practice from several family members. Each person said that Dr. Wherley was a very experienced dentist who was not only very knowledgeable but verrrrrry gentle and very kind to his patients.
Historically, I have always loved going to the dentist, (sounds crazy but it's true!), and have had very positive experiences with my dentist and orthodontist growing up. In fact, at age 46, I still wear my retainers to bed every night! I excitedly booked an appointment with Spectrum Dental, anticipating a very positive experience

Dr. Wherley and his staff are great! I was recently visiting the Denver area and needed to get in for an emergency visit and they worked me into the schedule the same day. The staff was friendly and courteous when greeting me. They gave me a realistic wait time to be expected (I didn't mind waiting 15 minutes as I knew they already had to for me in). Once I got in, Dr. W did just enough so that I was out of pain and to get me through the rest of my trip. He did not try to overcharge me or provide services that were not needed. He was very clear on what procedures were completed and let

Dr. Daniel Wherley is without question the best dentist I have known. I've been going to him for over ten years and am most impressed by his calm, easy-going ability to put you at ease, and his proactive thought: he anticipates your questions and answers them thoroughly. He does excellent work. His wife Sandy runs the office and is equally pleasant. Gloria, his assistant, is likewise terrific.

Since my first appointment, I have been back several times along with my adult son and wife. The doctor is extremely caring and gentle, 5 Star Service, very reasonable, and exceptional staff. We are living temporarily in Kansas for a year, but continue to go to this dentist because he is so outstanding. My wife called him this morning due to an emergency, and he was able to see her this afternoon. We are so blessed that we found Dr. Wherley!

Dr. Wherley is the best dentist I have ever encountered, worldwide. I have 'problem' teeth and have had many, many dentist visits and work done over the years. Dr. Wherley has literally changed my compete look (and life!) by suggesting a simple procedure on my front teeth that no other dentist cared to do suggest before. Though the procedure made a huge difference in my appearance, the doctor made sure first that it will be covered by my insurance. Came to CO, had a tooth issue, and was able to be seen and fixed ASAP. I have a fear of dentists, but not this guy. He is great. He was kind, and made sure to followup. Very accommodating. Also, nicest receptionists ever.
Old school office, old school dentist, but great at what he does.
He is very nice, very gentle, and reasonably priced.
If you need a dentist, give Dr Wherley a whirl.

I'm 23 years old and have only had one dentist my entire life. You guessed it, Dr. Wherley. He's gotten me through baby teeth, crooked adult teeth, braces, countless retainers, and finally to my adult-like smile.
My entire family refuses to switch; my mother even lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming now, and brings my stepdad along with her. It's true, he's worth the 100 mile journey.
Frankly, we all worry about what we're going to do when the man retires. Knock on wood that it's not anytime soon.
In the mean time, he's definitely an excellent choice.

Perhaps the best dentist I've had, I've been going to Dr. Wherley for the last two years. He runs a small practice, and it feels more homey than most dental practices I've been to, and yet he has digital X-rays and all the modern machinery you'd expect. The office staff is first rate, and his hygienist is nice but thorough. Their work has been good and there's no sale pitches for cosmetic work. It's easy to get in to see him, and billing is well done and reasonable. The location is convenient for me, at Colorado and Cherry Creek Drive. In short, I don't much like

I read through Yelp reviews for a dentist, because I needed to call one at 7am, and be seen immediately. Any damage and the crown would have to be remade, plus I had no front right tooth. (Ah, yuck?) so I could easily fall prey to an evil dentist and be ripped off . This faux tooth was an investment. A woman missing a front tooth is also a woman in distress, not making decisions from her Most Reasonable Self. She will pay most anything to be retoothed, especially in the light of day, believe.

Dr. Wherley is the best! Unfortunately he's now out of plan for me as well and I can't afford to pay out of pocket. I highly recommend him. Switching dentists has really made me value the quality work and good treatment that you receive from him and his staff. He's also the official dentist of the Denver Roller Dolls...we all go to him to get our custom made mouth guards for only $25 total. The receptionist Kate is a sweetheart!
