My Books and Taxes has been excellent. I couldn't be happier with their overall service, quick responses to my questions and attention to detail. I HIGHLY recommend Karla and her team. After my previous tax person created an unnecessary problem for me with the IRS by uploading inaccurate information to them (while charging me an exorbitant rate), I definitely needed a new tax person. I turned to Karla , who did my recent taxes with speed and accuracy, then took on the problem with the IRS, which she solved -- all at a very reasonable price. She communicates clearly and quickly. You can feel secure in her abilities.

I have really enjoyed working with Andrea and team on filing my taxes for 2018 and now 2019. I used to do all this myself with TurboTax, but things had changed for me and I needed more help. My Books and Taxes has done exactly that: got my tax ducks in a row, reminded me to do things I kept forgetting, and got everything done for a super reasonable price and an excellent, professional and friendly attitude. I'm an international student receiving income from both the U.S. and abroad, and my tax situation this year is a bit atypical. Not many accountants around Berkeley replied to me that they could handle it, but Karla solved it efficiently at an affordable price. FINALLY!!! A tax professional that is great to work with AND saves you money. I was panicked when I reached out to her. I attend UCB and they put me under financial aid verification, so all my financial aid was on hold until I filed and processed my taxes. Which means I couldn't afford my rent or books or school supplies.
