Services
Founded in 1931 by Guerdon Herberger, our business is now in its third generation of service. It is a privilege to carry this special heritage forward. Through the years, our aim has been to provide you and your family with quality service - service that is built upon your trust in us and our dedication to you.
Every family is different - with their own sets of beliefs, customs, and traditions. At Woodland Funeral Chapel, we know that each family requires special attention to ensure that their wishes are met. Our goal is to listen, provide you with information, and carry out your requests. No need or wish is too big or small for our families.
Simply put, Cremation is the accelerated reduction of the remains to "ash" through the process of heat and fire. While cremation is a simpler and often less expensive choice than burial, many of the same or similar options are still available. There is no rush to schedule services (unless a funeral is chosen where the body will be present).
When death occurs, one of the first decisions that must be made is whether to bury or cremate. There are many factors that go into making this choice. If the family has traditionally chosen burial in previous generations, they may choose earth burial, particularly if the family owns plots together in a local cemetery.
What kinds of options are available for your loved one's funeral? Why do you need an obituary notice? What are funeral homes responsible for? What is involved in embalming? Should you choose burial or cremation? How much does a funeral cost? These are just a few of the questions we hear every day from people just like you, and below, you'll find the answers.

I just want to express how thankful I am of the wonderful people that work here. Especially Linda. She went beyond measures to help my family with funeral arrangements two times within 1 year. She not only came to our home the second time to meet with my sisters and I, but she also got involved in trying to help us get other arrangements done with the church, priest and so on. Something she didn't have to do, but still did out of the kindness of heart to help us. It is so nice to know that there are people out there that really do care, especially at times like these. Thank you Woodland Funeral
