Started in 1988 by Brian Scott, Doyle Opticians of Deerfield, Inc. was founded, and in 1996 acquired Marcus Opticians from a long time colleague and friend. As a whole, both offices are here to produce and provide the finest quality eyewear with exceptional service to the communities in which we serve.
Our office strives to achieve the highest standard of patient care in a compassionate and individualized manner. As a primary health care provider our doctor will thoroughly examine, diagnose, and provide management options for many types of ocular disorders, in addition to providing prescriptions for spectacles and fitting contact lenses of all types.
So many advances are being made in contact lenses every day - improved comfort, correction for more vision types and healthier to wear, too. If you've ever been told that you can't wear contacts, check with our doctor or any of our staff to see if there are new options available for you. Most modern contacts are either "soft" lenses or gas permeable "rigid" lenses.
When you first enter one of our store locations, you may feel overwhelmed about the array of frame choices on display. Do you choose a metal frame or one made of a sophisticated plastic material? Should the frames be the focal point or will you want a "frameless" appearance? Your eyewear should echo your best feature, such as matching your hair color or eye color.
Loss of Vision screening is a brief exam that can catch some existing and potential vision problems. A screening cannot actually diagnose what is wrong with your eyes - it usually only determines that the subject should make an appointment with an eye doctor for a more comprehensive exam. Typical vision screening only tests acuity-distance, which is what most people know as viewing the standard eye chart and measuring vision at a distance.

Eye Doctor was thorough in her exam and clear in her explanations Most important, she went slowly through the final steps of determining my prescription, showing me the options over and over again until I felt comfortable with my selection. The price range and frame selection was good and I felt comfortable making a choice of frames and lenses. The magnetic sunglass option they offer regardless of frame is an added bonus.

Best eye care anywhere! I have had lenses made backwards and had prescriptions determined by the machine alone resulting in over-correction at chain eyeglass stores. Dr. Maitino carefully evaluates eye health and prescription needs/changes. Brian and Miguel take extra care to make sure my glasses and contact lenses are right from fit to fashion. They listen carefully to my impressions and concerns treating me with respect and kindness. They are as good with my children as they are with me. Our family is so fortunate to have found Doyle and plan to keep going here for years to come.

Doyle Opticians has always been fantastic for our family, from fitting a nervous child with the perfect first pair of glasses to providing great options for mom. When a pair of glasses needed fixing due to some roughhousing, they quickly got us in and made the adjustment for free. Also very much appreciate the attention to COVID safety protocols. Highly recommend!

I’ve had several prescriptions filled with Doyle Opticians over the years. Brian and his staff are wonderful to work with. The selection is good, and more importantly, they explain in detail what is going into the lenses, how it will benefit my vision. I always learn something new when I visit them. I have been using Doyle Opticians for as long as I can remember. My ophthalmologist recommended Brian. What a great find for me! The nicest most knowledgeable helpful optician you'll ever find. When my mom stayed with me, and she was along in years, he even fit her with glasses and she wore them till she passed many years later. I relocated to the Pacific Northwest and I still go back to get my glasses from Brian. I cannot imagine going anywhere else! He is the real deal! His father was an optician and he followed in his footsteps! Doyle Opticians is not one of those places where a 'trained staff

I've been using Doyle Opticians for over 20 years.
As a life time glasses wearer I am very particular about glasses and I have never dealt with anyone better than the Doyle.The thoroughness of the exams is excellent and they have always maintained "state of the art" equipment.
Their selection of frames and is tremendous and no one knows their product and their customers needs better than Brian and the Doyle crew.

Going to Doyle Opticians is not like going to a doctor's office. Everyone there treats you with friendliness plus that little open touch that inspires confidence. I am a returning customer to Doyle Opticians. They have a great selection of glasses and the eye exam given by Dr. Lynne Stanford was excellent. I get very nervous with eye exams but she explained everything and let me take breaks when I needed them. I will be returning next year for my annual eye exam and would recommend Doyle Opticians.

My opthamologist, a member of the Northwestern Medical faculty, no longer recommends this company. My recent visit told me why. High pressured sales and, at the very least, a little bending of the truth. I experienced second thoughts after placing my order and called to cancel less than an hour later. "Too late," I was informed. So far they have hung up on me three times.
