Progressive Coating is a custom coating company founded in 1983 to serve local Chicago area and regional metal manufacturing companies. In 2006, ownership changed, and Stephen Walters took the reins of the already successful company. Under the new management there has been a renewed focus on all aspects of the business, and investment in new equipment, the workforce, and infrastructure to support continued growth and profitability.
The plenum below the porous plate supplies low pressure air uniformly across the plate. The rising air surrounds and suspends the finely divided powder particles, the powder-air mixture resembles a fluid. Products that are preheated above the melt temperature of the powder are dipped in the fluidized bed of coating material, where the thermal attraction melts the powder onto the parts and fuses into a continuous coating.
Nylon Coating process provides a very hard and extremely durable coating when cured. It is also has unparelleled resistant to solvents, stains and corrosion. Ideal for abrasion resistance, electrical insulation, corrosion protection and safety applications. Nylon is applied in a wide range of thicknesses (.006" -.050") and features a low friction coefficient.
PVC Powder Coating provides a coating that is extremely tough, yet soft to the touch with impact and chemical resistance, and has good insulating properties. Fluidized bed powder coated PVC is a relatively inexpensive and economical option that offers excellent adhesion, a high degree of edge coverage, a uniform finish (no runs), and is corrosion resistant.
