Downey Company specializes in coating products and parts for all types of manufacturers with the most high quality pretreatment for E-coating and Powder Coating, or a combination of E-coat and Powder Coat (POE). The long list of the types of parts we have coated during our 53 years in business encompasses everything from A (Automotive and Architecture) to Z (Zoo & Park Outdoor Furniture and Fencing - and even sculptures!).
B.L. Downey Company is certified by the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) for REBAR and wire reinforcing steel products that are buried in concrete such as that used for roadways, bridges, parking structures, and much more. Our Fusion Bond Epoxy(FBE) coating processes meet the D. O. T. (Department of Transportation) requirements in twenty-two states, and two Canadian provinces.
There are six Electrodeposition, "E-coat", processing lines at B.L. Downey Company that enable us to coat metal parts from the size of a 0.5" threaded nut to a 30 ft. steel structure. We can also provide a partial E-coat on parts that only require a certain portion of the part to be coated. We can coat in six colors: Black, Green, Blue, or Red and offer iron or zinc phosphate along with specialty pre-treatment on all systems.
