I am so happy with RK Trans. I expressed to Robert what I was going through and how my new 2018 Ford Edge motor went with only 40k miles. I also explained that my 96 dodge was leaking transmission fluid and not in the best condition but it was my only way to get around and how the expense with Lyft and uber was insane!!! , Robert was so empathetic and responsive to my need , I dropped my truck of Friday and he fixed my issue and had my truck driverable and ready to pick up on a Sunday for me to get to work on Monday . I cannot speak highly enough about this shop! Robert is the owner/operator, and cares so deeply about his business and customers. It is truly a customer service oriented business, and they do quality work at a fair price using good parts. Robert and his mechanics are very knowledgeable and experienced, and they take the time to explain what your vehicle needs. My husband and I both take our cars there. I always have peace of mind walking out of this shop.

Pretty much my one-stop shop for all car repairs and maintenance, and they have been for years. I do a lot of my own work, but for stuff I don't feel comfortable with, it goes to RK. Very informative, professional, flexible, and they understand what false economy is. I've always been impressed with the results.

I was convinced I had a transmission problem, and brought my 2007 Pontiac G6 here for repair. Turns out I was wrong, but they diagnosed the problem and fixed it, which I think saved me a lot of money. They did it quickly, and made sure I was happy before I drove away. I was very happy - it was like driving a new car again! I'm not going to go into details, but something happened that gave me great respect for their honesty and integrity as a company. I would definitely recommend them, and will bring any future work to them.

Robert and his staff are awesome! Brought my truck in with multiple problems and Robert expertly diagnosed and resolved each and every one. He was more concerned about helping me than just taking my hard earned cash. His prices are fair considering how conscientious he is and how he takes pride in doing a good job! Would recommend.

I dropped my car off on Monday and told them I needed it for my wife's mom's funeral that weekend and we needed it by Friday. They said they'd try. They didn't.
On Friday morning they didn't even have the part yet. We had to rent a car for $200. I spoke to Rob who could clearly care less whether the car was finished or we had to rent a car.
He said he'd call Monday. He called Wednesday. They told me their credit card machine was broken to get me to pay cash. When I told them they can still take a credit card payment over the phone they said they would only take cash

I recently had some car trouble and found out it was my transmission. Rob at RK Trans Auto Repair went above and beyond to answer any and all questions I had regarding the issue with my car and what he could do to help me. I got estimates at my regular mechanic in Durham and an estimate from Rob since I work in Raleigh. My regular mechanic does not specialize in transmission work but they were able to replace it for me. Rob quoted me a price about $1,000 less than what they were charging to rebuild my transmission instead of just replacing it. After driving it around now for several weeks

Being a woman in her mid twenties, I've always found it difficult to find an honest mechanic who didn't try to rip me off or "pull a fast one on me." I can honestly say I have never felt more at ease and comfortable with taking my car anywhere than when I stumbled on R.K. Trans. you may find "cheaper" places but not without something else going wrong which ends up being triple the amount. You know your money is going into the right hands. It is incredibly hard to find an honest, quality, mechanic. R.K. Trans is one place I can truly say is that one in a million place
