Nina Payne moved to Phoenix Arizona from Chicago in 1996 to start her family. She has always loved to bake and is well known in the community for her beautiful and delicious cakes. In 2008, Nina's family convinced her to share her magical baking talent with the community-at-large. Nina decided to take the bull by the horns and turn her dream into a reality.

I tried their Pink Champagne cupcakes with Strawberry frosting and it was absolutely delicious. First time I've tried it, so excited I did. The Strawberry frosting was so fresh tasting. Definitely going to be purchasing again. I've tried their Mud Slide Brownie before and I definitely recommend it. Especially if you like caramel and marshmallow goodness.

Nina is as awesome as her cakes. Very affordable and the best cake I've ever had. The guy that works there and makes the sassy bites (I'm so sorry I didn't get his name) is so awesome as well as the bites he makes. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone that needs any type of specialty cake. Definitely going to her and her only from now on.

I don't think I spoke to a single guest at my wedding who didn't mention how delicious and beautiful my cake was.
I had emailed Nina less than a week before my wedding because the person who had originally agreed to make my cake had backed out at the last minute. She was able to make an absolutely beautiful, moist, delicious cake in a matter of days. I am so grateful!

Sassy Cakes by Nina are delicious and a true work of art!! She made my birthday cake (German Chocolate). It was delicious, moist and beautifully designed and decorated. It was by far the best German Chocolate Cake I’ve ever had!! I would highly recommend SASSY CAKES BY NINA!! She was friendly, courteous and professional!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

I asked for a quote on a cake for my 3 year old boy. Nina asked for a picture, so I sent a picture that I found as an inspiration for the cake (paw patrol theme). Can you believe that she gave me a quote to make the cake for 1,200$??? Needless to say that I am not going to make business with this company....

Nina makes moist, flavorful cake that has just amount of weight to know you're eating way better than any box cake mix! We tried the chocolate, cookies n' cream and birthday cake recipes and each was very tasty. Also the frosting flavors were just the right amount of sweetness and we enjoyed the chocolate, cookies n' cream and vanilla buttercream frostings. Absolutely amazing cupcakes! Emailed to order and had no idea how much the cake I wanted costed. Nina was awesome and let me know it was out of my budget (didn't realize it was fondant) without making me feel dumb but still suggested some other options that would work to get pretty close to the same thing. I decided that cupcakes would be a better fit since it's just three of us due to COVID-19. I could not have been happier with my order from Sassy Cakes by Nina. She prepared exactly what I asked for with her own added twist. This was my first time ordering a custom pastry and she guided me through the whole process.
I ordered a confetti cake and graduation themed cupcakes. Everyone enjoyed them!

Beautifully creative and delicious cakes! The ordering process was seamless, efficient and quick. I live in Washington and was able to order a beautiful birthday cake for my mother-n-law in Cave Creek. Nina has a safe, sanitary and organized way for pickup during the pandemic, too! Hands down the best cake I've ever ordered and tasted. Called Nina on a Tuesday and she was able to make the most amazing looking cake ever for a party the following Sunday. She was extremely helpful, recommended great flavor combinations and just did so with the best customer service I've seen! Cake was moist and extremely delicious.

I would give 10 stars if I could!! Nina made a gorgeous pistachio flavored Barbie cake for me as well as a dozen assorted cupcakes and not only were they absolutely gorgeous, they were the most delicious cakes I have ever had! My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary this past weekend and were beyond thrilled to have our anniversary cake! Nina remade our anniversary top to our wedding cake to eat so we didn't have to leave the original one in the freezer for a year. She went above and beyond for us!
Long story short, on our wedding day, we didn't get a photo of our cake and I was absolutely devastated since I had it designed as a special gift for my husband.
When we picked up our anniversary cake, she had it decorated the same way our cake was at our reception. I almost cried right in her shop!

I got a chance to meet the owner, Nina, and see her work. It's obvious she is passionate about what she does as well as how she takes care of her clients. She puts every spare minute she has, and then some, into making sure her cakes and treats taste as good as they look while meeting or exceeding client expectations. She, and her works of art, very inspiring to say the least. I would highly recommend consulting with her for your next special occasion that needs some extra tasty flare.

Was referred here from a coworker and let me just say that it was the best referral I have had. Nina the owner was excited to take my and even more excited when I told what type of cake I was looking to get done.
What I asked for was an anatomical heart on top of the cake. Being from a medical field background and asking this of course I'm gonna be anxious and have tiny doubt on how good it will look. I sure she felt the same way on making it.
