The Popiolek Funeral Home is a descendant of the Rilatt Funeral Home, which originated in Camden City, NJ in the early 1930's by Paul Rilatt, Sr. In 1954, Paul's wife Dorothy, became the first woman to earn her funeral directors license in the state of New Jersey. In 1966, Paul Rilatt, Jr., expanded his father's funeral home to Barrington, NJ where he offered dignified, caring service for over 20 years.

Staff members of Popiolek Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Kirk Popiolek was raised in the Erial section of Gloucester Township, NJ.
The Popiolek Funeral Home is centrally located to all of the regions major highways. Only minutes from Philadelphia, the funeral home is easily accessed from Philadelphia International Airport as well at the 30th Street Train Station. Situated in close proximity to the funeral home are several hotels, restaurants and shopping centers.

Kirk is absolutely the best. He handled my Mother's funeral with such dignity and grace. My Mother looked beautiful and she really looked like herself--natural. He added some personal touches that were great. He even helped my nephew from VA, who was a new altar server with little experience, in the church. I can't say enough about Kirk. He made an extremely difficult situation very peaceful and easy. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND KIRK TO ANYONE. I live in West Deptford and will use Kirk for my funeral. Thank you Kirk for everything.
