We are Josh and Deb Jones, the owners of City Scape Winery and also your hosts, winemakers, and entertainers. You are probably wondering how we came to be the youngest winery owners in the southeast. It all started on a cold, rainy day in the fall of 2009. Stuck inside on the couch with nothing interesting to do, we started to be plagued with a condition that we loathe most in life called "boredom."
Just as we enjoyed making wine as a hobby and discovered City Scape as a source of wine making supplies, we have continued the tradition by carrying a variety of wine making supplies and equipment in the Greenville, SC area. From yeast to corks, from potassium metabisulfite to Chilean Malbec juice, we have the basics you need to make your own wine!
We want to make sure there isn't any wine or sediment left in the bottle, and draining it out upside down overnight helps the bottle dry so no mold develops! We will re-sanitize the bottle and re-use it, or turn it into a candle, keeping it out of the landfill and putting some money back in your pocket!
Never visited us before? Our wine tasting is the perfect way to experience all that we are about here at City Scape Winery! Although you may feel like you are way out in the country, we are located just 30 minutes from hustle and bustle of downtown Greenville, SC. We offer our seated wine tastings every Wednesday-Sunday and although the majority of our seating is outdoor, and we do have tents up in case of rain!
Q: I want to bring my child, is there anything for them to do besides sit quietly and watch me drink wine? We have three goats for them to visit, Pinot the Pig always "needs" food, and there is even a little swing set next to the tasting room. When they aren't giggling and exploring our vineyards, we also have some creative non-alcoholic beverages for them to sip on while you enjoy your tasting!

We had such a very lovely time at City Scapes winery this afternoon.
The server who greeted us was so warm and friendly, and she guided us through a really fun, relaxed, enjoyable tasting. Sometimes at wine tastings I feel like I’m supposed to be super proper and fancy :P so it was fun to laugh and chat and relax. Her shift must have ended halfway through our tasting because another server took over, and she was also lovely and gave us a lot of great info about the last several wines.
The wines themselves were great—a good variety, and all delicious. We snagged a bottle, took our wine glasses

Lovely venue! Plenty of seating and enjoyed the wine tasting and cheese tray. Our server was Dailie and she was informative and gracious. Although we arrived early, they served us some wine while we waited for the official opening time. Enjoyed meeting and interacting with the goats. They are building a large event center which will allow even more space. The bees were bad because it was harvesting season. The fans helped some. We moved inside to eat. So glad to find this place!

Can’t say enough kind words about this place! The atmosphere, employees, and owners are all so lovely! Not to mention the wine!! Some of my favorite wines are made here. I definitely recommend doing a tasting when you go. We do a tasting at least once a month bc they keep the tasting menu fresh you try something different every time!

If you go for a tasting, plan to spend a good hour or so. And plan to leave with at least a bottle or two. Drink plenty of water, because you get up to 8 selections to try AND because it's the south and it's hot in the summer. We will definitely be stopping back by if/when we visit the area again.
