We are pleased to announce our adoption of MLS Laser Therapy provided by Cutting Edge Laser Technology. Through its use we are able to provide better treatment and care for our patients! A native of Bountiful Utah, Dr. Davis started his pre-medical education at BYU and finished at the University of Utah before attending medical school.
He attended the CCPM in San Francisco, CA where he graduated with honors in 1998. After accepting and completing a three year surgical residency in the Detroit Michigan area, he opened up practice in the Murray, Utah area where he has remained for over 10 years. As a current resident of Murray, Dr. Davis has loved working and living with the people in the Salt Lake area and looks forward to many more years of practice here in the future.

Diabetes is the inability to manufacture or properly use insulin, and it impairs the body's ability to convert sugars, starches, and other foods into energy. The long-term effects of elevated blood sugar (hyperglycemia) can lead to serious damage to the eyes, heart, kidney, nerves, and feet. Diabetes affects the lives of nearly 26 million people in the United States and nearly seven million don't even know they have the disease yet.
Diabetes can be dangerous to your feet - even a small cut can produce serious consequences. Diabetes may cause nerve damage that takes away the feeling in your feet. Diabetes may also reduce blood flow to the feet, making it harder to heal an injury or resist infection. Because of these problems, you may not notice a foreign object in your shoe.
Diabetic shoes and the customized orthotics that come with them are a great way to protect the diabetic foot. They are essential to help offload pressure points and to control the foot mechanically so that the foot can be protected. There are many great styles to choose from when selecting today's diabetic shoes.
Peripheral neuropathy refers to damage to nerves of the peripheral nervous system. The most common cause of neuropathy is diabetes, although there area other several other causes including drug and alcohol use, some genetic disorders and exposure to toxic or hazardous materials in the work environment.

Service was fine, but the billing was not adequately explained prior to service, I ended up paying more than $100 more than I was told my total would be. The office staff seems to keep their own schedule. I've been to the office 3 times during business hours (not during their lunch) and only once has the office been unlocked and open.

Both my husband and I are extremely satisfied with Cottonwood Podiatry. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the office and patient rooms are always clean. They go beyond the normal office staff to help you and also to schedule you for appointments. Dr. Davis is wonderful. He is extremely professional and helpful, and will go the extra mile to help patients with whatever their problem is. He is very conscientious and cares about his patients. We have been patients at Cottonwood Podiatry for 6 years, and have never had any kind of problem with office staff or Dr. Davis. We are so very glad
