We sometimes need to disable online and call-in orders on weekends due to staffing challenges. At Uncommon Grounds, breakfast doesn't end at 11am. From open to close, we serve pancakes & Belgian waffles topped with fresh fruit, breakfast burritos stuffed with scrambled eggs, flufffy omelets and more.

It started with a gas station and an ambitious idea. Uncommon Grounds opened in 1998 when Peter Kaloostian transformed his family's gas station into a bustling and popular cafe. Located in the heart of Coolidge Square in East Watertown, MA, Uncommon Grounds has been a beloved staple of the local community for over two decades (and always striving to getting better and better every year!)

I use to order from here at least once a month, but the quality seems to be going out the window. Last 2 times I ordered the mozzarella basil chicken panini the bread was extremely soggy and the chicken was like rubber. It was not edible. This time I ordered the mandarin chicken salad wrap and it didn't come with the honey ginger dressing that its supposed to on it or on the side. Who wants a dry salad wrap!? They also changed their fries and no longer have the good, crispy, hand cut ones. Highly disappointed. Great staff and breakfast, but will not be ordering lunch from here again.

We were seated quickly and the service was friendly and fast. The food was average. My omelette was overcooked and the potatoes were just okay. I'm certainly not rushing to go back but would try it again and order something different.

Uncommon grounds is like a mix between a cafe and diner. Great coffee with many added flavor options and great food! You’ll be lucky to get a table during the weekends because it’s so popular!

Good spot. Food was good. I wish they had a bit more variety and a 'make your own plate' if you will. Didn't see an egg whites and avocado option. Opening at 8am caught me off guard but that's on me for not checking. I'd recommend this restaurant.

Uncommon Grounds is the best breakfast/lunch restaurant I’ve been to in Boston. I’ve been coming in for years and Ive always had such great experiences with the staff. The prices are extremely fair for such large portions. Some of my favorites for breakfast include the homemade corned beef hash, the Caprese breakfast sandwich, the biscuit egg sandwich, the breakfast veggie burrito, and the eggs Benedict. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth for breakfast, but I’ve tried the cinnamon bun french toast and the lemon ricotta pancakes and they are truly mouth watering. I’ve never had better

What an extraordinary find for breakfast! Lots of character to this roadside oasis on the busiest street in Watertown. Warm welcome from the owner Peter and his staff. Clean as a whistle this place is! Coffee is best around with the most delicious French toast and home fries that make you want more than the old belly can handle!

Pretty good. Was a bit busy on a Saturday but, to be expected. My Benedict could have used a bit more flavor. Salt, pepper, something. Home fries were on the drier over fried side of things. French toast was good. As was my latte. Worth a try if you're in the area. To judge for self.

Great breakfast spot that also has excellent lunch options. It is a hot spot for lunch every day of the week. We love their breakfast burritos, pancakes, and egg scrambles. I always get the veggie scramble with a side of bacon. The owners and staff are so nice and helpful. Indoor and outdoor seating and easy lot parking or street parking.

Great food with prompt service. They have limited indoor seating but really nice and relaxed outdoor tables! We enjoyed the vanilla chai along with both our breakfast plates. Will definitely visit again!!

Lovely bustling little place with terrific lattes and huge yet delicious breakfast options. The southern style eggs Benedict and the corn beef veggie hash were so tasty. We loved the place and definitely coming back here soon.
