Services
Regular dental visits are essential to your oral and overall health. From tooth decay to oral cancer, detecting and treating potential concerns in a timely manner is critical and can impact many facets of your health. At Konikoff Family Dentistry, your oral health is our paramount concern and we want to make sure your teeth stay healthy, function well and look great!
Our dentists are dedicated to providing individualized dental care for every patient. His goal is to deliver the best preventive and restorative care to help every patient have a healthy, beautiful smile for a lifetime. Dr. Stephen Konikoff was born in 1950 in Buffalo NY, but the weather proved to be too cold so he moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1952.
Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. They are better than other alternatives like bridges because no additional teeth need to be altered to place the new tooth. The entire dental implant process is performed over the course of a few months. The first part of the process is to install the dental implant itself, where a screw is placed into the jaw bone.
Fillings are most commonly used to treat cavities. We will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then "fill" the area on the tooth where the decayed material was removed with a substance such as gold, porcelain, silver amalgam or a tooth-colored plastic known as composite resin. Fillings may also be used to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse such as from nail-biting or teeth grinding.
Common dental emergencies can include abscesses, broken or loose teeth, pulpitis (inflammation or infection of the nerve or root of the tooth), cellulitis, chipped teeth, pain on biting, inflammation around wisdom teeth and other trauma to teeth from an accident. These emergencies may involve swelling, bleeding and severe pain from a variety of causes.

This was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. From the moment I walked in, the receptionists greeted me with such great energy. You could tell they enjoyed coming to work and the environment was a positive one. From there, I met with my hygienist who I thought was absolutely fantastic. She asked got to know me and my history with dentist and helped subside my nervousness. Finally, the dentist was also a delight. Helped come up with a plan to help me get my oral hygiene where I would like it. From the moment, I walked in to the moment I left, the energy was great. After scheduling

Konikoff Dentistry has always been a place of friendliness and family. After over 40 years of being part of this family you begin to understand how much work it takes to be make a practice work like fine tuned watch. Most of us do not enjoy any trip to a dentist office, but when you experience professionalism with a heart then it is bearable. Thanks to Steve and his singing he puts everyone in the mood to enjoy the atmosphere and forget the task of keeping a great smile. Thank You to whole team that makes this practice the best.

The staff here is wonderful. I have really never liked going to the dentist but they eased my mind and took real good care of me. Dr Diaz and Mya showed real care and concern. The 2 young ladies Katie and Beth in the front are the perfect people to be employed by any job. I say that because they go above and beyond to insure you understand clearly what to expect whether its about a procedure or how they can assist you with payment.I am so glad i visited this dentistry

I've always had a great experience here at the Norfolk office-
The front staff is very pleasant and efficient, they're great with setting up appointments and reminders for those, as well as just generally helpful.
The dentists and dental staff have always been professional, meticulous in their work and I have never had any kind of problem with their work.
Excellent experience overall !

I've been going here for about 10 years and have always been happy with the service. However, I asked about vaccination status of employees and they are not fully vaxxed and cannot promise that the people working on you are vaccinated. Although the woman I spoke to on the phone was understanding about the issue, I sadly decided to move to a new dentist with all vaccinated employees. And, yes, I understand they are masked and careful, but nonetheless, unvaccinated people working that closely to you are indeed putting you at significant risk.
