I went to Import Auto Service (IAS) for emissions test on 11/29/21. As many stated on the website, the service I received was beyond my expectation. I greatly appreciated for an outstanding service received. The gentleman who assisted me (didn’t catch his name) was a good listener genuinely cares about his customer. I recommend this place for any car concerns or fixes without have to worry getting ripped off.

Couldn't be happier with IAS and their work on my 1998 Land Rover Discovery. They caught a brake line problem that another shop missed as well as came up with a good solution for adjusting my wheel bearings which saved me a wholesale replacement. Prices were fair and they got the work done very quickly despite it not being a particularly easy job. I will definitely be bringing my old truck here moving forward, they did a good service on our Mini Cooper as well in the past.

I have two vehicles that although they were both low miles, needed routine servicing done. I was looking for a reliable, professional repair and services facility that I could trust to do the job right, without trying to rip me off because my cars were imports. Import Auto Service has always come through for me. I don't know alot about cars but Import Auto has always been there to support me with any questions. When I was concerned about a light going off in my car, I stopped by and they fit me in to assure me that my car was drivable and helped me understand what the issue was and come up with a plan. They go above and beyond and I feel lucky to have their support. As a single mom, it feels good to know you're not getting taken advantage of during a vulnerable moment and they also care about your family's safety. I highly recommend them

I have to say I am TOTALLY impressed with the service I received. I was traveling through Washington DC when My vehicle started overheating on I-95. Panicked, I looked for the nearest Mechanic. I got off the highway at a local gas station and low and behold they had a mechanic on duty. They quickly diagnosed that it was NOT the radiator but just a sending unit. A quick order from the parts store and about a hour later we were back on the road good as new. Their prices were extremely reasonable and I felt confident with their work. They were sooooooo kind and professional and I feel blessed

Absolutely awesome service! They got me in for routine maintenance on my vehicle. I was a little skeptical because it was in the back of a gas station, but the people were so friendly, did a great job and when I picked up my car they gave me gift bag with reusable shopping bag, mug, key chain and cloth to clean glasses. I was very impressed. Definitely going back here and recommending to all my friends!!

So I went in to get a quick oil change and inspection and it took me over 2 hours to get the job done. In addition they rejected my car because I refuse to pay $16 for a light bulb that cost me $4 at the auto store. I fixed the light bulb and came back thinking all they would need to do is see the lights on and change the rejection sticker. Nope, they had me wait in line for another hour - the total time spent was 3 hrs. I have been coming to this location since 2007 and you would think they would extend me courtesies just from being a loyal customer. In addition, their prices have skyrocketed

I want to let you know how happy I was to have selected your business for my repair needs.I had flown out to Virginia to check out my son's vehicle before I drove it home to Indianapolis. If I could leave this place negative stars, I would. Over the course of six month I paid them about $2500 for a check light on my Volvo S40. They said according to their computer the steps they took in fixing the problems were accurate. Once I got my car back the 3rd time, the check light was still on. They told me I needed to go to the dealership to get the ecu flashed. And that I had to pay for that. What pissed me off the most is that I asked the for the parts back both times they did repairs (timing belt, solenoid) etc and they threw them out. I was completely ripped off and there is nothing

BEWARE. They do sloppy, horrible jobs and completely ruined my car. I gave these guys many chances and now I have a very annoying and expensive mistake to deal with.
First I took the car to them for an Oil Change a few weeks ago and told them to do a check- up to make sure everything was allright with my old Civic. Obviously they did not do an extensive one, because the car broke down from overheating a week later. I decided to have it towed back there because it was close, and they said that they did not check fluids during check ups (really?!) and that my overheating was just due to a broken

This is a highly unprofessional business. They never call you, even when they promise they will, so you always have to call them to learn anything. Their estimates for when the services will be completed are incredibly inaccurate and a repair that was supposed to take one day took four because they "just started working on it" at the original time you were told to retrieve your vehicle. They will also tell you that "they are almost finished" for two days in a row. They often fail to address specific and major concerns, such as a steering-wheel fluid leak, that they promised

We have been bringing our cars here for the last three years. We have them do most of the work on our 2008 5 series BMW, 2001 330i, and 2006 Land Rover LR3. At least two of the mechanics here are exceptional. They know BMWs extremely well. I have had many negative experiences with area BMW service centers (poor quality work, being charged for work not done/parts not replaced, outrageous pricing). It's refreshing to deal with honest mechanics who know what they're doing. They have the equipment to reset BMW service intervals, even on the 528xi, which tracks everything from the VA

I've been meaning to leave this review for a while. These guys are AWESOME. They are honest and capable, and can handle anything that the dealership claims only they can do. Most shops will quote you one price, the dealership will quote you twice that and Import Auto Service will actually charge you what it's worth, which always happens to be less. They come highly recommended by other mechanics and are just so nice and helpful.
I don't get depressed any more when I have serious car trouble because I know I won't have to sell a kidney and go through the headache of haggling

On the whole, I'd say my experience here was negative. Have a 99' BMW M3. Original clutch finally went out, so I took it to these guys, as we live close by. Clutch was fixed, but first and reverse gears came back all messed up (super rough to put in gear; requires so much strength my wife can't drive the car anymore). Mechanic claims it's the gearbox itself -- BMW of Alexandria says its the way these guys put in the clutch. Who knows -- shifting was fine when I brought the car to them.
