Nicole Cortese, a college graduate from Rutgers University, started the company in 2012 after interning for several years with her family's garbage company. Cortese Disposal's intent is to offer a more convenient driveway pick up service to the normal residential curbside garbage pick up service.

Choose from a range of 2 yard or 6 yard dumpster small enough to fit in your driveway, perfect for residential homeowner clean ups and household clean outs. Commercial dumpsters available with weekly pickup service to serve your place of business.
The holidays listed below are observed each year. All pick up days that land on the holiday or the day after the holiday will operate on a one day delay for that week. Containers can be filled to the top, but not overflowing, without incurring extra fees. Any customer that places extra bags outside of the container will be charged a fee of $4 /bag.

After being constantly annoyed with Republic Services missing pickups and lying we decided to ask our neighborhood Facebook group for recommendations and we received 8 for Cortese and 0 for Republic. DO NOT USE REPUBLIC. Their horrible ratings are accurate and well deserved. Cortese was quick to respond, provided fair prices and immediately confirmed they could pick up our bulk pickup that republic missed 5 times. I then fired Republic with great delight and hired Cortese. Save yourself the headache and make the right choice...anyone but Republic Services.

Cortese Disposal are an integral part our neighborhood community. They not only provide professional and friendly service but they are reasonably priced and offer amazing customer support by Nicole. Their disposal truck is the quietest we have ever experienced as a family at 5am, which we know can be a difficult task! When it comes to the other garbage disposal companies, Cortese Disposal is really taking out the trash!!!

We switched to Cortese disposal about five years or so ago. They are so easy to work with. If I need something extra or have a question, I just email or call Nicole and there’s never an issue. They have a white glove service where they come up your driveway, which is nice in the winter. They are reasonably priced and locally-owned. They have never missed a pick-up in all those years, which was not the case with our previous provider. We are very pleased!

Cortese Disposal provides us the best rate with the most convenient options.
I used a larger local company for years with nothing but issues - missed pickups, unreliable service, completely inflexible, unprofessional employees, and the worst part was that they had different rates for everyone in the neighborhood!
Since initiating a contract with Cortese, I’ve had several unique situations pop up where I need larger items picked up with very little notice or where I’ve needed a pick up repeated because we forgot to put our cans out 🤦♀️🤦♀️

Small family owned businesses can, and often do, "win" when they are led to excel in all aspects of their business meeting meet the customer's needs. Cortese Disposal is one of those well led, impressive businesses. Cortese Disposal has, in every interaction with me and my wife, not only demonstrated, but acted, as if they truly appreciated out business and cared about the quality and reliability of their services.
