After graduating from Chicago Technical College as an engineer, Floyd A. Schlossberg began working in the construction industry in the early 1960s and founded Alden Bennett Construction Co. Inc. in 1961. In the beginning, Mr. Schlossberg and his team built schools, fire stations, Park District fieldhouses and libraries in Chicago.
Alden facilities have a proud tradition of serving customers and our communities since 1971. All of us at Alden are fully committed to continuing our long-standing tradition of remarkable care and customer service. At Alden, customer service means accessibility, flexibility, convenience, and responsiveness.
Individuals who no longer need the level of care provided in a hospital setting but do require rehabilitation and therapy find Alden to be a valuable partner on the road to their recovery. Alden offers a wide array of programs and services, from intensive therapy and individualized care planning to exclusive post-acute rehabilitation programs and comfortable settings.
As part of Alden's commitment to patient safety, we have taken infection control to a new level. Prior to patient arrival, each room will undergo a rigorous 12-step process followed by the use of state-of-the-art Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide(R) products for superior disinfection with low toxicity, and supplemental disinfection practices.
The Alden Network's Post-Acute Rehabilitation and Transitional Care Centers offer patients a continuum of care from the hospital, through rehabilitation at an Alden facility, to home. Specialty Post-Acute Rehabilitation Programs like those at Alden help individuals become as independent as possible following an injury, surgery or illness.
