A crown (cap) is a restoration that is placed on teeth that have lost a lot of their structure. There are many different types of crowns, full porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, full metal crowns. Your dentist will explain the advantage and disadvantage of each kind for you. A dental implant is a Titanium based cylinder that replaces the missing tooth root.

Dr. Chan at Sweet family dentistry genuinely cares about his patients and does everything in his power to make sure they’re comfortable and understand everything ( like costs and procedures) up front. He’ll work you in same day if there’s a problem and calls to check on you after a major procedure. It’s also rare you find that every staff member is just as amazing and I was lucky enough to have Jasmine who was PHENOMENAL . Wow this place is awesome. I am one of those people who has PTSD from previous bad experiences from when I was younger at the dentist. And so I am never consistent with cleanings or dental work because of not finding a decent dentist. Let me say, this place is great! They are ALL so sweet and welcoming. I felt super comfortable my first time going to Sweet Family. I also don’t have insurance and they offer a discount plan to help out with costs, and it’s a BIG HELP! i got a periodontal cleaning and I was super scared but they were SO GENTLE with me, I felt like I was with my mom working on

First time in a long time I feel satisfied with the dental care I received. The Dr was extremely thorough and explained everything clearly. He took the time to do initial consultation which I have never had prior to this dentist. The staff was friendly and professional. I now have a family dentist I look forward to going to.

I recently selected Dr. Chang as my dentist, after several years of being with another dentistry office. I must say I have been very pleased thus far. I am happy and excited to have been fortunate enough to find a dentist who explains in detail and ensures that I see for my myself through pics problems with my teeth. And, I have a cheerful hygienist who did a great job cleaning my teeth. I have referred my husband so if he is pleased with his first visit next week, Dr. Chang will have a new family - The Davis! 😊

Dr. Chan and his staff are top-shelf excellence! From the day I called to set up a new patient appointment and spoke to Jacqueline my experience has been nothing less than welcoming! Tanya, the hygienist, is amazing in her care and her personal touch! Jasmine is outstanding with providing care that is beyond just doing their job - you can tell they love what they do!!! Where do I even begin? This is my first visit with Sweet Family Dentistry. After doing my research and reviews. I'm not a huge fan of dentists, had many unpleasant experiences. However these guys have changed my mind on how I view going to the dentist. They are personable, you are not just another number, they check up on you after procedures. Great staff great experiences. If you are lucky to see Jasmin give her a high five because she rocks it. Dr. Chan is amazing and awesome at his job. Everyone is so friendly and makes sure you are comfortable throughout the entire process, even the paying part ;).

If you are looking for a quality dentist with all the new technology and equipment, you have to look no further. Dr. Derek Chan @ Sweet Family Dentistry is excellent. He is very knowledgeable, articulate, and he returns your questions by email in recorded time. My dentist retired and I needed to find a dentist immediately because of a infected tooth.
