Housed in a historic home built in 1908, Cynthia's is a step back in time but ready for the present (after all, we are on Facebook). Many recipes are updated with the health conscious in mind. And we are always happy to prepare special orders or old time favorites. We love it when a guest shares a recipe or cooking tip.
As we specialize in homemade goodness, we strive to bring back simple foods and recipes from the past. Our most popular pie, Sour Cream Raisin, makes many of our guests exclaim, "I haven't tasted pie like this since Grandma made it for me." People talk about our signature cake, served as dessert at Dinner to Die For, for weeks after the event.

Services
Guests are encouraged to participate in games and jokes but can join in as much or as little as they like throughout the evening. We also invite people to dress up in costumes for the occasion. But everyone will be asked to put in their two cents to help solve the heinous crimes that are committed here every Saturday.
We enjoy being a one stop special occasion center. Book a private lunch for a special occasion, arrive early and pick out a gift for the guest of honor. We will wrap the gift and have it ready for giving by the time dessert is served. In keeping with the theme of the restaurant all items are local, hand made and simple in nature.
We love pulling out all the stops for your big event. Theme parties are our specialty, from a taco bar to a chocolate buffet, just say the word and we get cooking. Birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, showers, retirement parties, you name it- we can provide the location and the food.
Join us for trivia to find the answer. With themes from food to Famous Fathers, family night is full of laughs and fun for everyone. We encourage you to leave your devices at home. Turn off the TV and unplug. Spend an evening with your family. Come for supper and stay for an evening of fun. Themes include: spies, trivia, team building, problem solving games, and a night at the improv.

This was a birthday gift and it needed to be up to anticipations. One of the hardest things to accomplish in life is to live up to anticipations. We have in our minds a view of how things should be. This is true of everything in life, if you consider it. In this case, for this birthday, at this dinner theater everything was at least as good as anticipation. It exceeded. Everyone at our table were drawn in. To the dialogue, to the story, and to the entire diner experience. Very well done!

Oh my goodness, talk about customer service...! Cynthia read on a local social media page that I had caught the dreaded flu and offered to prepare chicken soup for me on a day they don’t serve. The kindness of her offer made my day and her chicken and dumpling made me feel better. I am so happy to see people taking care of people, even total strangers.
BTW, her dumplings are the best EVER!
Cynthias home cooking is just that, just like Gramma used to do. We will be back and would highly recommend them.
