Nightly specials & buffets are also very popular choices. Our salad bar, which features many of our own made from scratch salads, is home to our famous potato salad.
Nadine & Syd Malchow have been the owners/managers of Hi-Lo Restaurant & Catering in Lakefield, MN since 1984. The Hi-Lo has been proudly serving the area with fine dining for over 65 years, and the Malchows have been providing catering services for over 25 years. For the past 25 years, our professional and enthusiastic approach to our events has brought our clients back again and again. Hi-Lo Restaurant & Catering clients are confident that we will bring our experience and creativity to the success of each of their events. It is why we have grown to become one the most trusted catering companies in Southwest Minnesota and Northern Iowa.
A typical bar includes 20-30 varieties of alcohol, your choice of beer, wine coolers, & bottled wine. Coke or Pepsi products, 4 juices, fruit garnishes, disposable glassware & ice are included. Keg beer & root beer kegs are also available. The Hi-Lo has a portable bar, equipped with ice bin & bottle rail, available for rent & is recommended when your venue does not provide one.
Sid outdid himself. We especially enjoyed the scrumptious carrots, the melt-in-your-mouth baby potatoes and the juicy, flavorful beef. It was a delightful supper for us and our guests. Nadine, thank you so much for your skills in coordinating not just the wonderful menu, but in helping us plan the flow of traffic, opportune time for cake-cutting, the terrific punch, and the beautifully elevated display for the cake.
