Maize Valley, a family owned and operated business, has its roots deep in the soil of Marlboro Township near Hartville, Ohio. The family's ancestors were the third family to settle in Marlboro Township in the early 1800's and were trappers, teachers, farmers and business owners. Through the years, farming and agriculture have served as the backbone to the family's livelihood and history in the quaint, small-town area of the state.
The current farm was started by Kay & Donna Vaughan in the 1960's and has undergone many transformations through the years. Originally they were hog farmers and grain farmers with more than 3,000 acres of various crops including their well known "super-sweet" corn, soybeans and wheat - in addition to milking 130 dairy cattle.

Arrived to this establishment and was happy and atmosphere seemed great up until we started to order. Keep in mind this wasn’t our first time here, we all ordered and my wife mixes the cranberry wine with the sangria. I myself was fond of the ice wine and was planning on taking a case home when the waitress came back and said her manager wouldn’t allow her to over serve us. The manager then came over to us and told us the same even though we told her of the mixing. Very sad day here as we aren’t children and have money to spend and treated like we cannot handle our alcohol. I won’t be back

There is definitely more going on here than I remember! We were disappointed that the hayride doesn’t run as late as it used to. We arrived around 6 on a Saturday night and we couldn’t do any of the fall activities because they stop everything at 7. I remember coming here for hayrides and the corn maze on dark October nights and I definitely miss that! However, the ambiance is still great. We were still able to enjoy drinks outside while we waited to be seated for food. The food wasn’t amazing, but the appetizers were pretty good. Overall, we still had fun! The market is so cute and it’s

What a nice little place. We went during the car show which was really nice. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. The food and service at the restaurant was very good. The staff was very friendly and made our whole family feel welcome. The beer and wine selection was very good and the patio was the perfect place to spend a cool afternoon early evening. The kids loved the goats and chickens and spent a good amount of time on the playground exploring the tires and slides. They loved it and are excited to plan our next trip out there. Overall, a great time and we will definitely head back.

Great place. Great events. Great little country store. Great wine... EXCEPT on Sunday. Their website isn't exactly clear on the "we don't have a Sunday license, so we can't sell wine" message unless you click their "Wine" tab. For as many events they do and the revenue they bring in with everything else, they can sure afford a Sunday wine license. We wasted our time trekking out to this winery this past Sunday...45 mins away to be told we can have their beer. Our full intent was to drink wine...at a winery.

This was a very fine winery located just outside of Hartville. Everything was just what I read on the review page. Wines are excellent and tasted like the descriptions they had of them. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. I could see having kids there would be nice for them. Many outdoor things to see and do. The food was alright. I ordered the BOB burger it was extremely well done. I would still go back and have a good time.

The food is much like the Pine Barn in Wooster, except this place is in my own back yard! Menu is great. Food is great! Wine choices are great! We came during the Lavender Festival & Maker's Market. We toured all the booths as a guitar man performed on the grassy knoll. We ventured into the lavender field with my daughter who had a birthday today and took many pics of her in her lavender dress cutting a lavender bunch to take home. It was magical for this dad's heart. Maize Valley has many, many activities throughout the year. Next one up, the Sunflower Festival! I highly recommend this place in

Beautiful setting here.
The angus burger was good, but the toppings and dressings were all under the burger which resulted in a soggy bun pretty quickly.
Monk in public was definitely the strongest of the beers, although the bom tasted like an elevated blue moon with mango.
The mac salad is pretty blah.

We came here on a date day. It was a surprise. I really like their ordering system and would be nice if more businesses used that model. You put up a little sign on your table when you want something and someone helps you. We ordered two flights to sample. At first I thought the $14 was a bit much but they were actually 2 ounce pores of four different wines which was a lot of wine to drink. We each got four so we could try eight different wines. I liked a lot of them. I went home with mad cow and hanky-panky.

Beautiful place. The reason why im giving it only 4 stars is that for the lavander field we were charged for taking our one year old and our toddler. The guy said it was because people take family pictures which for me that was a bizarre reason. No place or farm charges under 2 year olds going in. Also be prepared to pay extra if you want to take lavander. In the Facebook they didnt specify that and so since we didn't expect that we didn't take enough cash. For some reason the card wouldn't go through the machine so we ended up paying 20 dollars just to go in the field but not taking anything.

Went here to try some wine and food for dinner. We saw the menu and the prices seemed good so we thought we try.
We are a sweet wine group. So we went right for the fruit wines. We got the red raspberry and the apple pie. The red raspberry is good. Does have a slight dryness to it but really tastes like raspberries. The apple smelled amazing lots of apple and cinnamon going on but the taste was just ok. Smelled better.
We got some food too. The Tuscan chicken and a pepperoni pizza. Again. I got the pizza and it was just ok. Big enough for 1 person. The Tuscan chicken was good according to the

We stopped by Maize Valley for lunch and to try out their beers. Well, when you walk in, it's a country shop type of feel with a bar. You can buy things in the store and also have a beer at the bar. Unfortunately we couldn't do that due to COVID but next time!
We sat on the covered patio and it was beautiful! We enjoyed looking at the goats up on the hill and the farm. They have lavender fields but they weren't nearby the brewery/winery.
We started out with a flight of beers and they were all delicious! With so many different options to choose from the flight was our best bet

Amazing! Great service, good was large portioned and the wine - oh the wine!! I definitely recommend trying their samplers that they offer. Perfect size in each glass to share with another and not go broke. Beautiful scenery also to see when the doors are all open or if you can sit outside, service is great and you won't be waiting or looking for a server, they ALL pay attention. Par king is good and easy access to everyone!!

We love Maize every time we go. Even in this COVID time. The staff, the food, the wine and events are always a great time. The prices are great for what you get. We did a flight today 4 2oz pours of tour choice and a Blood Orange Mango beer and an order of the soft pretzels. My one suggestion would be to serve one of their mustards they carry in house with the pretzel along with the cheese.

Great place to go if you have children! So many things to do, including duck (mallards etc.) And pig races, absolutely hilarious. Great food and great drinks alongside a wide array of things to do for big and small alike. Wish I had found this place earlier in life, our little girl (1.5) loved it! The pumpkin cannon is 2legit2quit!

Wow. We came to pick some pumpkins out in the very front area and were very unkindly spoken to by staff about how pets are not allowed. There is by far a much nice way to address things with people. Also, we've brought our dog before and drank wine on the patio and never had a problem. We drove here excited to get some pumpkins. We did not plan to bring her around food or inside the building so it really rubs me the wrong way that they don't allow dogs all of a sudden. Also, perhaps a sign out front would be nice before we spend time parking in the far back and walking up front to shop

We came in for a wine tasting. Very informative event. Knowledgeable on the history of the facility and especially the origin of the wines we tasted. We were able to pick six wines. So each couple made a selection and when it was our wine to taste you were the one that did the toast!! We had three reds and three whites. There was quite the selection to choose from so it wasn't easy. We each really liked our selection. All of our tastes were different. Very casual place.
They had a seasonal menu as well as a standard. We enjoyed the wine with cheese and crackers then finished with a sandwich

I just have one word for you: MEGASAURUS! Ok, ok, I can't leave out the pumpkin canon from my excitement about this place, either. Maize Valley is a winery and brewery that offers an entirely different experience in the fall, with tons of fun activities aimed at families. They have an eight acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, paintball, a giant mountain of tractor tires for the kids to climb, goats to pet, hog races, Indian runner duck races, and more. During October, you can still sample their wine and beers, but they also serve carnival food (corn dogs, lemonade, cotton candy, etc)

Fun place to visit, nice local wine selection although a little pricey. I like their lunch meat counter, nice selection of breads, condiments, spices as well.
My wife and I stop there on shopping trips to Hartville for a bite to eat and a bottle of wine. On a nice day sitting outside is relaxing with very nice ambiance.
Over the years they've done some major remodeling and it all looks very appealing, clean, neat and offers an atmosphere that says, "Sit down, relax and enjoy yourself."

Nice space for gathering to enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer; however after three or four visit I'm consistently disappointed with the food menu.
Aside from being out of 2 of the 3 items I was intending to order, my beer cheese soup was merely lukewarm at best.
I'll return for drinks but will plan to eat elsewhere from now on.

I wish I had known about this place earlier, because it is such a cute place for pictures! There are so many options for adorable backdrops, as well as fun things to keep kids and adults alike entertained, like duck races, pumpkin patches, and hay rides.
However, for me, the highlight of Maize Valley was the adorable restaurant, bar, and deli. The interior is so amazingly cozy and the bartenders are knowledgable about the products they serve. I ordered a bottle of the apple pie wine on recommendation and I was not disappointed.

I have enjoyed Maize Valley wine from purchases at the grocery store in the past, but have never been to their actual store until my friend decided she was turning 28 again (for the 4th time) and wanted to do a wine trail around her neighborhood.
Cute little country store vibe going on with lots of wines, jams, sauces, breads, and quirky little knick knacks for purchase. They also have these cool Ohio shirts! (I bought one that said "wine" inside an outline of Ohio). There is a section where you can order deli items too. Plenty of tables and seating with this cozy little area with couches
