Services
Halliday's Winery is quickly becoming recognized as the place to go in Northeast Ohio. Overlooking scenic Lake Milton and Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course, Halliday's Winery offers the best of what Northeast Ohio has to offer: great wine, excellent food, craft beers and a lot of fun. Halliday's Winery is named after Jesse Halliday who joins Ron and Mike Birchak as our third proprietor.
By 1815 Jesse had a house full of five growing children and a wife to care for. The harvest was in and the last preparations were being made to carry Jesse and his family through the long Ohio winter. Life was hard and chores demanding, but holiday celebrations provided a strong focal point for the communities to bond, celebrate the harvest and identify with their heritage.
Fine Rose blended from select Ohio red (Chambourcin) and white (Vidal and Seyval Blanc) grapes. Delightful Merlot with Chambourcin and Chancellor hybrids added for character. This well-balanced wine offers aromas of juicy red berries, off dry, fruity characteristics and a touch of light oak. Chardonnay constructed of an enticing blend of grapes creates a melange of pear, crisp apple and grapefruit flavors.
Join us as we celebrate more than 200 years of Northeast Ohio history the way Jesse did it-with great wine, food and beer from the region. We believe good food is about relationships with people, nutrients and the earth. Halliday's menu features excellent foods prepared from the finest local & regional ingredients.
Toasted ciabatta bread with fresh garlic, basil, shredded mozzarella and sharp asiago cheeses. Wedges of baby swiss and sharp cheddar, delicately seasoned summer sausage and trail bologna served with crackers and Jesse's favorite tomato basil dip. A delicious assortment of muenster and colby Amish cheeses adorned with crackers, fresh fruit, cinnamon graham, blueberry pretzels and a sweet fruit dip.

Good wine. Good atmosphere. They almost push for getting samples which is nice because you don't feel like you have to buy a bottle without knowing how it tastes. They have events (like live music and sip and paints). The server is friendly, helpful, and attentive, but not to the point of being annoying. During the summer you can sit at tables that overlook the lake. During the winter it's cozy and warm. Love the interior of the winery. It's an old building with hardwood floors and all that. Just beautiful. Pricing is reasonable as well.

We came for their trunk or treat event for Halloween. It was very well organized and the children all had a blast! There was plenty of candy and the DJ had cute music playing. I'll definitely be checking out the winery during the summer after seeing how pretty it is during this event. It's right on the lake and beautiful.

I visited on 7/10/19, a hot summer day. No AC and they only have ceiling fans on their very high ceilings, so all it did was blow hot air on you. They definitely need to invest in pedestal fans, at the very least. Miserable inside experience.
Food is mediocre and overpriced if you want the GF option.
I agree with one of the other reviewers - they could do a lot more to make the outside seating areas more appealing. Wine quality is a 3 out of 5. Lots of potential here, but they've missed the mark.

I live just across the lake from this place and I love it to the max. You could not ask for more friendly servers, classy atmosphere, great food at reasonable prices, and a great selection of BEER. I know, this is a winery so why do I mention beer? Hallidays has a great selection of import, domestic, and local micro-brewery type beer for the non wine drinking guy taking his lady out for the evening. Also you won't be disappointed by the musical talent that is usually there on weekends. I love their happy hour when any drink is buy one, get one free. Check that out. It's a fairly new place

In an old converted church (what's up with all these former houses of worship becoming houses of booze?), situated nicely between a golf course and the dam that creates Lake Milton is this beautifully renovated, nicely decorated, winery.
Service was exceptional. The place is newly opened and it's pretty clear they're trying very hard. The tasting poors were small, too small really, but the wines are good. The wine bar is quite spacious, where they can easily accommodate a large crowd. Seating is in a large open area, possibly a little too well lit. You are limited to bar height
