North Shore Community Health began as Peabody Family Health Center in 1977 after a group of community members came together to discuss lack of access to high-quality primary care in their city. Peabody Family Health Center was launched and provided primary care to a diverse population of low-income, medically-underserved, uninsured, and under-insured area residents.
Peabody Family Health changed its name from Peabody Family Health Center to North Shore Community Health in 1980 to reflect its ever-growing scope. The North Shore Community Health expanded in 1990 and began servicing Salem with the opening of Salem Family Health Center. In 2008, North Shore Community Health expanded again with the opening of Gloucester Family Health Center.

This is the worst place. There is absolutely NO Communication and not all but some of the receptionists are very rude. Especially the person who reschedules appointments which is the one with the blonde hair, she was very disrespectful and lacking of knowledge because I was 5 minutes late and she say that according to the policy I have to reschedule and I told her that I want to see where in the policy say that and she say, I don’t have that information, disgusting place and very unprofessional to provide customer care and health care!!

All of the staff at NSCH, from the receptionists to the MAs to the doctors, have gone out of their way to help ensure that I have the best experience as a patient! They have always made sure that my appointments for telehealth or in person visits, as well as getting the COVID-19 vaccine, are scheduled quickly and they go to great lengths to answer all of my questions.

They make you listen to a 20 min. message about corona virus then hang up on you.
They ignore all phone calls /requests for care/lab results.
If i try to seek care anywhere else,i get a quick fix ,and am told to follow up with my g.p.(you know the one who ignores me,wont see me in person, wont return phone calls/messages.
SHAME ON MASS HEALTH AND N.S.C.H.!!!
They do not care about their patients.!!!
I suspect if i had better insurance ,i wouldnt be running into these problems.
I am probly dying here, simce they wont even give me my lab results from 3 months ago.
Theu just ignore you and hope

This place is a joke. I like my physician Dr Jaworski but I will be looking for another provider because you will have to make 30+ phone calls to the office just to get a referral for anything. And even then in may not happen. I have great insurance so that is not the issue. Luckily this isn't for anything emergent or else I would be really in trouble. I don't understand why it is so difficult for people to do their job. Do not waste your time like I did, go somewhere else where people actually know what the hell they are doing.

Initially, my provider was super supportive and I felt comfortable working with her. But, she apparently left the practice or stopped seeing patients so I no longer was able to see her (which I wasn’t aware of until I thought I was having a phone appointment with her, and it ended up being someone completely different who told me I can no longer work with her). When I was dealing with other members of the staff, I had numerous negative experiences which triggered me to leave and find a new PCP all together. I work in the medical field so I understand the ins and outs, but I was completely shocked

I'm accustomed to public health services and the sometimes longer wait times. But the dental clinic here is absurd. First of all, it it's impossible to get a hold of anyone by phone. In the last two months I've spent more than 4 hours on hold, and still never spoke to someone. Second, the first visit I had was scheduled at 3. I arrived early, and was still 45 minutes lateto my 500 shift, despite it being an initial consultation which really shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes. Today was the final straw. I arrived at 1015 for a filling appointment. I wasn't called in until 11. I ended up leaving

Honestly, I think they are pretty good. My PCP is really informed, she works really hard to accommodate me into her schedule. As an anorexic, I have appointments once a month for blood work. They are always really sweet to me when I go in. When I've needed emergency appointments, thet have been really good at getting me in.
That said, they are very no frills. You're not gonna get treated like the ruler of a kingdom. But that's not their job. They get you in, take care of what's going on, and get you out. And with how many people they serve, it makes a lot of sense. I'm glad they havr made health

This place is absolutely horrible. I worked for the Federal Government for 10 years, and I was impressed at the lack of organization and ability to get anything done in a timely manner at the North Shore Community Health Center. Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues was designated as my primary care physician by my insurance company. In over a year of being assigned to him, and over 5 visits to the office, I have never seen him once. I think he is like the Easter Bunny, or Santa Claus. The name sounds like it could be made up. If you want to get a tetanus it takes 3 months to get an appointment (with a nurse

This place sucks! Although my primary care provider is a Doctor, I have never seen him. Instead I have to wait weeks for an appointment with a nurse practitioner. They want me to schedule an appointment 5 weeks in advance to get a tetanus shot. If you are lucky enough to get the right person answering the phone, and present a compelling argument as to why you need care in less than 5 weeks, you stand a chance of haggling your way into an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. The office seems overworked and understaffed. For the amount of money I spend on health care, I shouldn't have
