Services
Healing Mountain is a place to learn, to grow, to obtain professional skills. It may also be a place to begin a change in life's direction. But it is ALOT more. After all, you can get an education at any massage school. Our philosophy exemplifies the "Way of the Compassionate Spirit". And, as a result, students feel drawn to our warmth, our sincerity, and the nurturing attention we provide.
Our Massage Therapy program offers a diverse curriculum of highly sought after courses that will prepare our graduates for the spa industry and instill confidence as they embark on their new careers. Program starting dates are in early January & July for morning programs (5 classes per week) and early April & late September for evening programs (3 classes per week).
Healing Mountain's HHP program (only offered at our SLC campus) includes our Massage Therapy program as a required core component prior to moving onto a more advanced subject material. This 1200-hr diploma program offers students additional holistic coursework with an emphasis on professional level bodywork.
We are so proud of our core program, we put together an amazing tool to help prospective students compare other massage programs with ours. This information gives you valuable questions to ask when looking for the right massage school for you. It then outlines all the important information including class size, program hours & cost, accreditation, financial aid services and much more.
You get more for your money because when you graduate on-time, we pay for your MBLEX exam, Utah State License fee and professional liability insurance for one year. In addition, we include at no extra cost: four sets of linens, a tote bag, a laundry bag, and two clinic uniforms. Print this 2020 Comparison Chart (.pdf, 307 kb) to help you compare us with other massage schools.

I'm absolutely blown away. Due to my occupation I am on my feet 10 hours a day & the tightness/pain it's caused my body this last month was intense. Aspen gave me my first massage today & completely melted away all my aches. My body hasn't felt so relaxed in 5 years. She was attentive to my comfort, communicated very well, & suggested things I can do at home to prevent the tightness I've been feeling. I was amazed by her professionalism. 10/10 recommended.

They do a very good professional job. I like the environment they set up and find it very relaxing. I usually have students do my massage, I found a massage therapist that they do have there that are licensed really know what they’re doing and if I’m hurt I go to them. I like to see the students because it’s a more affordable two hour massage and that’s what I really need.

The staff was absolutely amazing. I love how peaceful and clean the rooms are. I have been having a lot of back pain and Martin was able o give me some relief after just 1 visit. I felt he listened and really knew where the pain was. I was so impressed with how intuitive Martin was that I booked another appointment with him. Both visits were fantastic. The price and quality is better than anywhere else I have gone. I look forward to going again. I am so thankful for Martin and the staff.

I’ve had two massages here, one with Vanessa and one with Julia and both times it was SO AMAZING!! The front desk girls are so kind and friendly, and just make you feel at home right away. Both Vanessa and Julia were very considerate of my needs (since I have back problems) and were both very good masseuses. I felt that they really cared about how I felt and I left feeling SO GREAT. I would 100% recommend this school since they are really good, and so affordable!! Seriously the best!

From out of town and wanted a relaxing girls day. We wanted to get massages. My expectations were low, figuring anything was better than nothing...they did an AMAZING job, I am so happy we came here for our massages! I can’t say enough good things about my experience. The price can’t be beat, but more than that, the massage was exactly what I needed. The perfect balance of working through knots and relaxation! If I lived here, I’d book monthly appointments with them!

Ok... So I was so looking forward to experience this place. I have read and heard nothing but good things. But my experience was ANYTHING BUT positive.
Granted, I book my appointment the day of, because I was desperate, MY BACKKK!!
SO I CALLED IN AS SOON AS I COULD. I book an appointment with an 'LMT' (LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST) for a steam bath, 20 mins and 50 mins, Swedish massage at 12:30.
(12:30 - steam bath)
(1:00 Swedish Massage)
I was told on the phone that they only have appointments available with LMT'S. (Thought to myself that's even better) I came in 4 mins

I have been going to Healing Mountain on and off for the past couple of years. I splurged on a 80 minute massage. While filling in my intake form I said I would like my upper back worked and consented to glute… work. Went over my intake form have them focus on my upper back and shoulders and some glute work. The therapist started working on my back and shoulders and it was fine. I even fell asleep a little I really appreciate all the work because I really needed it. Then the therapist goes from my upper back and shoulders to my glutes, then to the back of my legs and then it was over. I

I made an appointment at Healing Mountain Massage School for the first time this week, (despite some of the lukewarm Yelp reviews). I was blown away by my positive experience!! I got a 50 minute Foot Spa package and a 50 minute Swedish massage. The Buddha Blend epsom salt that was part of the foot spa experience was intoxicating. Kennedy was my massage therapist for this portion and provided a relaxing and pleasant experience. Moving on to the Swedish massage; Wendy L. blew my mind!! Even though she is a beginning student, she gave me the best massage of my life!!! She listened to me when I told

Pulled muscle in my back and was really in pain & angry as we were getting set to drive a long ways to Yellowstone in a couple of days. Stopped in for a massage & Olivia was my gal & she was wonderful. Focused on my spots & perfect pressure & she was very kind. Also the girls up front were very friendly & gave me a cold ice pack to wear while I waited 10 minutes till my massage. Enjoyed every minute and I did feel so much better!! Thank you!

Very rude front desk staff and in consistent communication regarding cancellation policy. Spa director interrupted me while I was addressing my concern and I could tell she was struggling to being polite and… professional but really didn’t care. When I called to asked “if there were any other appts available with Another therapist for the day?” the staff member immediately answered no and it was apparent they clearly didn’t offer or even attempt to check the schedule. I thought this was a bit odd so I checked online there were tons of openings. I called back and mentioned

It is so calming as soon as you walk thru the door! Everyone is professional and every massage I've had there was great.. And for a fraction of the cost of an uptown spa! Years ago I tried a massage school in SLC close to North Tenple...you had to wait for 30 mins to an hour in a large cold noisy room, then when they took you for your massage, there were only drapes between you and others! Healing Mountain has private rooms with spa music playing, they bring you col water after your massage! I highly recommend them to everyone!!!

This was my first time going to Healing Mountain, and will be my last. And my experience was so poor, I will steer everyone I know away from ever going here.
I paid for a 90 minute massage, which is really an 80 minute massage. I got 70 minutes, which included my changing time, because the student started late but ended on time. I asked specifically on the paper, and told the student more than once, that I was there to have my deep hip rotators worked on (I booked an advanced student for this exact reason), and may have gotten a glance over of the glutes. I got everything else worked, which I
