I was in the process of selling my home in central Virginis.
JL Bishop was contracted to perform septic system inspection and pump the septic tanks to comply with Va. state inspection requirement for home sale. The inspection took place and the company informed me that the system distribution box must be replaced for additional charges. I agreed to the repairs and I emailed said service company to beware of in-ground irrigation system during the excavation work. I requested that I be present when work began to help locate any underground irrigation system pipes. I was present at the beginning

These folks are knowledgable and friendly. However when they came out to check my septic, I gave them the map of where the tank and D-box was located. They sort of discounted the map immediately "they are not always accurate".
They said they could not find the D-Box and I needed to OK a $350 charge to use the snake camera. This is the same camera that other plumbers have used in my homes to check for cracks, clogs, etc...for free.
Turns out the D-Box was located EXACTLY where the map showed it to be. So, I paid $350 for them to use a camera (that others use for free) to locate

We have an older system, and the owner talked with me on the phone explaining how it worked from what I described. They came out on the holiday to help me, and had it diagnosed in a matter of minutes. We had been prepped for a very costly repair and then he told us it didn't need it, so he "didn't want to take my money". I appreciate his honesty, but even more valuable he educated me, and never once talked to me like I had not clue about mechanical/home systems. Highly recommend!
