The owner was rude and wouldn't give me a quote over the phone. He knows the prices are to high for sub quality artwork. He tried to charge me for a "consultation" and wanted "at least 800 an hour" for a cover up. I finally decided I wanted to get a small outline tattoo for 150... he said to go get cash while he goes on lunc . after waiting well over an hour so I just left. He claimed to be the best in Texas but what little artwork he showed me was underwhelming to say the least.

In 2017 I got 3 tattoos at the location in Arlington. Pete himself did not do them, a young woman did, I'm not sure if she is still affiliated but she did not do a good job. Pete was really rude and kind of aggressive for some reason. I paid about $500 for them but will be spending double that getting them covered and altered.

Don’t go here unless you enjoy toxic masculinity. Right as I pulled into the parking lot I was greeted with dirty looks from the owner, when I walked in he didn’t even change his gaze to have a normal conversation with a paying customer. In the middle of explaining what tattoo i’m interested in I was cut off with “we have a shop minimum of 150$”. I totally understand as the owner you can set your own price, but I don’t understand the blatant rudeness he has for his customers. If you read his bad reviews he even argues back at them. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We called and asked about a tattoo cover up, he promptly told us it would be $200 to even talk to us about it. We got $200 cash and went up there and he showed some lame YouTube videos.When my husband asked him about the tattoo he wouldn’t even look at him and told him it would cost $200 to talk to us. That was our cue to leave!! We are older professionals, not young kids with no money. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I went to Pete for a substantial sleeve coverup, and while it is still a work in progress, I have been highly impressed with the quality of his work. He has been helpful throughout the process, providing color palette recommendations that he felt would provide optimal results, and so far the progress has exceeded my expectations for what was possible in a coverup. I live out of state, so flying in to attend our sessions has been sub-optimal, but Pete has been reasonable with working our schedule. This place feels like home. Peter is a master at what he does. Got my nose pierced, painlessly. He uses high grade quality jewelry. He also blessed us with the true word of God. He is just awesome. I got my nose pierced at Pistol Pete's about a month ago and I absolutely love it. It was my first experience in a tattoo place, and I was nervous. But soon after walking in, I felt at ease. It was clean, Pete was friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure to educate my friends and I about the process and told us everything we needed to know about proper after care. Pete was amazing! He was able to squeeze me in and still was able to remain professional. With the pandemic in full swing I was pleased to see how alert he was to the detail as far as maintaining the cleanliness of the establishment. He was able to walk me through my first nostril piercing and I am very very pleased with the outcome. When I need a tattoo or another piercing this will be the place I am coming too.

He is very knowledgable and is very patient when it comes to helping his customers work through ideas. I love how clean and open his shop is and I especially love how well he keeps things sterile. He is very open and honest and very good with his prices. He is not expensive and will work with you on pricing.
