We are a children's shoe store located in the South Riding community of Northern Virginia that specializes in high quality footwear for all stages of childhood. Not very friendly or informative unfortunately. I was so excited to have my child’s foot measured, for them to educate me on what to look for in a well fitting shoe for my child and purchase a new pair of shoes for him. Instead I was told my child’s shoe size, that they couldn’t possibly tell me what to look for (which came off VERY condescending) and that they could only recommend shoes. They couldn’t even tell me if my son’s current shoes that he wore into the store were fitting him well or if I needed to get new shoes for him now. I had been happily waiting for this appointment for

Pam and the staff at Fit Right are amazing!! They always do a wonderful job recommending shoes for our kids that are specific to their foot shape/measurements!! We look forward to coming here every few months to get our kids shoes!!! I am a little shocked at any negative reviews here because the staff is always friendly and accommodating!! What a great local business we are lucky to have in the area!!

I’m so glad we made an appointment to this store to get the first shoes for our daughter. My daughter is an early walker and Pam took her time to explain what would be the best for her based on her walking skill, the anatomy of her feet and the brands. My daughter was dancing out of joy when we picked up her shoe. Thank you Pam for turning this shopping experience to a wonderful one! We will definitely come back for our next shoes!

This is a really hard review to write. My son and daughter have only ever gotten their "real" shoes here, and my oldest is 5 1/2. We have always had the best service and guidance, and I am grateful for the excellent customer service.
We haven't had any reason to get them real shoes in a year, but they are finally starting to leave the house and need more than their hiking shoes, mud shoes, snow boots, and flip flops. They need real shoes and they need them right away.

Just ordered my 3rd set of shoes from FitRight for my daughter. The shoes always fit great! I am always so pleased with their ability to properly fit her and their selection. Pam is amazing and just a wonderful, warm person that is great with fitting shoes for little ones. I will continue to go to Fit Right for shoes.

I took off work today to visit Fit Right Kids at the recommendation of a mother's group as I was unsure how to approach finding shoes to fit my 15 month old. My husband and I walked into the store and the owner was helping another family. What surprised me was that we weren't even acknowledged. Another customer arrived after us and was immediately engaged with, and was eventually helped before we were. Strike 2. When it was finally our turn, the owner measured my daughter's foot and brought out one option. At my request for something neutral instead of pink or purple she said this shoe also comes

We went here and had an amazing experience at first. But when the pandemic hit, they moved to appointment only. My son outgrew his shoes and has abnormally wide feet, and was complaining his shoes were hurting (He is only 21 months). When trying to make an appointment I was told there was no availability until January the one time they picked up the phone. For the past month they have not picked up their phone. Like a doctors office, if you cannot support your current clients then don’t accept new clients! Very poor business model. They have lost our business, And we will not recommend them to

We have been going to Fit Right for years now. Our pediatrician recommended having our kids correctly measured and fitted whenever buying them new shoes and my mother-in-law found Fit Right. The store is a 45 minute drive for us and worth it. The team is so knowledgeable, patient and kind. With three young kids, we can be a lot, but they are so great with them. Where do I start? I drove 40 minutes to get to the store in order to replace the high end (over priced) shoes I bought there just 4 months ago - both pairs totally falling apart already. We arrived a few minutes early because of the very long wait we experienced on our last visit. At 11:59 the woman behind the register stuck her finger in the air, barely acknowledging us. This place is run by a mother and daughter team who hand select the brands they carry. They're not going to be there cheapest pair of children's shoes you've ever purchased but, they will be an excellent fit. It's usually busy so, plan to take you're time. You're not rushed during the fitting process and the staff/owners are super helpful and knowledgeable.

Was looking for a store that specializes in children's shoes and found this place online. We drove from Alexandria (so about an hour) with a toddler in tow. Our original ETA was 45-50 mins prior to their 5 pm closing, but with a major accident on 66, we got there with ten minutes to spare. I'm a little late in writing this review but felt it was important other are aware. It has been difficult to find shoes for my son so when I heard about this place I was super excited. When we arrived they did not have my son's size in the shoes that I wanted. I love this shoe store. We've been using them for years after my son was poorly fitted by a mall children's shoe store and consequently ended up with toenail issues. They do an excellent job of measuring both feet and letting me know if I can wait a bit longer before buying a new pair. I appreciate that. The customer service is way above average. We had a pair of shoes that fell apart. Since we'd bought this brand before, I knew they were supposed to be tough and last. We took them back and they replaced the shoes for us. It's the only place I buy shoes for my child.

This was my second time visiting Fit Right. We bought our son's first real shoes there and I couldn't have been happier. They fitted him and found shoes that were cute, and fit appropriately for his foot. The price is not cheap but they were definitely quality. They lasted six months! I appreciated the time and attention we got visiting and I will not purchase shoes from any other place for my toddlers growing feet.

I'd heard from many friends & acquaintances about this place... that it's great and makes up for all of the stride rites closings because they measure the kids' feet & make sure the shoes "fit right". So, we stopped in around 4:30 on a Saturday (they close at 5) for a pair or two of shoes for our son. Two workers at the time and there were 2 other families there getting measured & picking out shoes/socks so we took a seat on the couches & waited. Our son had fallen asleep so we really weren't in a huge hurry but once it got to be after 5 o'clock

We have bought shoes for my three year old son and 7 year old daughter from Fit Right.
Everyone is great with my kids. They measure them well and notice details like they have narrow feet that other stores have not noticed. They watch the kids walk around in the shoes to make sure they are right for their feet.
My daughter's shoes were not wearing properly...part of the shoe was coming off--after less than a month. We brought them back to the store and we were able to exchange them without a hassle.
They are awesome!

My son has a very wide instep and shoes are hard to fit him. We drove from Alexandria almost 40 mins to this store and it was worth it. The woman who assisted our family was excellent. Very patient and helpful with all the shoes my son tried on.
Please note these are quality shoes and we paid approximately $50 a pair. Worth every dollar.

I took my kids here last weekend and I'm glad I did. Their prices are reasonable especially for a good pair of sturdy shoes. Customer service was great and they took the time to measure my kids' feet and make appropriate shoe recommendations. I definitely see taking my kids here again especially after Stride Rite closed its brick and mortar stores.
The shoe selection, quality, and styles are on point. I was even able to purchase shoes and sneakers that are washable-- which is a huge plus.
It's also great to know I'm supporting a locally owned family business.
