Dr. Lapiad was born in Camarillo and raised in Oxnard, where her family still resides. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine and obtained dual bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and in Chemistry. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry with high academic and clinical merit.

I have been coming to this office for the last 4 years and it is always such a great experience. From the moment you walk into the office you are greeted and welcomed into a small owned private office. I really like the individual attention you get from the hygienist and the dentists. I have never had a horrible experience and even though the dentist office is the last place someone wants to be they do a nice job to really make you comfortable before starting any procedure. I don’t give feedbacks unless it really impresses me. Special mention to Monique Torres my assigned hygienist . She went way beyond my expectations, she really was so patient in doing the procedure in detailed manner. Very meticulous and you can really feel that it was thoroughly cleaned.. “ light handed” though she put pressure to remove buildups, you wont feel any pain. Awesome job. Such a nice and courteous hygienist. I definitely wanted her to do my teeth cleaning in the future 💖

Exceeded my expectations! Everyone of the staff was absolutely on top of things going on. What a pleasure to find a doctor and hygienist that reads all the documents they have you fill out. Amazing experience. Best dental cleaning I've ever had in My 53 yrs. Very nice staff..very polite and very professional. My whole family is now switching over. Friendly staff and Dr. Shelby. Attended to my needs as soon as I came in. No waisted time waiting in the lobby and inside the X-ray room. I’ve seen the 3 Dentist in the office and they were all great, easy to talk to, friendly and not pushy. The office is clean and I like that they have TV above the chair so you can watch Netflix while you get your teeth worked on. The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth Monique (hope I got that correct) is awesome! She is so nice, easy going, barely felt her hands on my face while she cleaned it, walked me through the process and told me which area I need to brush more, and she is super nice and friendly! I love her, I will definitely ONLY schedule my cleaning with her.
