For over 40 years, and 3 generations, Richland Sewing Center has been building relationships with customers and vendors in the sewing machine business. We carry a full line of sewing machines, embroidery machines, sergers, cabinets, quilting machines, and all the accessories that go with them. We proudly carry machines from Husqvarna Viking, Brother, Janome, Pfaff, HandiQuilter, and Singer.
Jeannie is the primary teacher and gets the classes and clubs scheduled and set up. B.J. is the primary machine salesperson, so if you have questions about features, pricing, or just want a demonstration, ask him! Bethney is the do it all, know it all, multitask it all, glue that holds it all together most days.
FREE ESTIMATES on repair for most major brands! Here at Richland Sewing Center there is NO CHARGE for us to take a look and give you an estimate for your machine! Come in and let us know you are here, we will come get the machine out of the car for you no matter how heavy it is. Repairs are normally done in under a week, and in emergency situations there can be an arranged expedited service.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have a new embroidery sewing machine that the needle threader was broken. I am new to the area I found this sewing machine repair shop from the reviews. James repaired my machine in a day was very reasonable and courteous. Everyone there wore masks and it was a pleasure to see inside. As soon as my vaccine for COVID is done I will see if they have classes available to people. It was a very professional but a friendly place to go.

May 10 drove 5 hours and dropped off two Viking sewing machines for repair. Designer Ruby D was in need of a new board. Designer Diamond Royal was having issues. Curbside handed off machines discussed issues was told board for Ruby pricey. I wanted them fixed. The Diamond had several issues that needed attention . Tech went inside store with machines typed up work order and brought me tickets. I was contacted later to confirm the charges, with which I had no complaints. Offered a price if I wanted to trade up. I declined. Once both machines were ready ,I drove 5 hours to pick them up on Saturday

There was a time that I purchased everything from Richland Sewing Center, but not any more. The last few times I was in there I was met with rude customer service people who were only interested in helping me if I were buying a new machine. They expressed no interest in helping me find what I needed. I don’t spend my time and money on any business who meets my needs with rude inexperienced staff. I now buy everything including my new Luminaire from another dealer!. A little further, but at least they appreciate my business!

I called to see if Richland was open and could repair my Singer Talent machine. The engineer was friendly, patient and instructed me in fixing the problem by phone. With a flip of a switch the sewing machine is running and I am thankful. They are now my vendor of choice and I can't wait to register for classes. I will also bring in my machine for general maintenance.

I really enjoyed this store. I went in nervous about purchasing the "right" machine for me. The saleswoman that initially came up to me was very kind and showed me the machine that I eventually bought. I was uncertain, so she showed me a used model for much less $. I was still unsure. She let my husband and I roam the store discussing what to do. After 5 minutes or so, Doug came up to us. I found him extremely kind and patient. He walked me through every question I had, he must have spent 30-40 minutes explaining everything I asked, and then some! I bought the first machine and

I have been looking to purchase an embroidery machine and decided to stop in at this shop. There was one lady that came half way up to us and asked us if we needed anything. . .I told her I am interested in a machine. She told me to "hang on" she'd send another person up. We waited a few minutes and finally someone came. I explained what I was looking for and the use I would be purchasing the machine for. The sales lady showed me one main machine that was on sale. I asked her questions about it but she keep looking towards the back of the store. She finally showed me one embroidery

Owners are on hand to give expert advice. Classes are reasonable prices and small enough for lots of individual attention. There is a whole quilt shop inside, as well as sewing and quilting machines, for sale. They also keep up with the latest fabrics and notions. Quality friendships can be made by attending the regular Dec clubs as well as classes and charity events. They specialize in teaching you to use your machine no matter what the brand. I like buying equipment there because they have the majority of the major brands in one location. That way they don't care which manufacturer I chose and

Love BJ and one other "older" gentleman who is always helpful. If it wasn't for them, I would not go back. I have seen other reviews on the "teacher" and have hesitated to write a review but seeing what others have said, I do not believe it was me. I am a teacher myself and I would NEVER respond to a student, "I just told you that." which is what she said when I asked a question. I was so embarrassed. My response was, "If I knew the answer, I would not have asked the quesion." . I'll stick with Youtube unless the two gentlemen are teaching.

I don't know where the bad reviews have come from. I've been buying machines and other products since the late 80s when they they were on grapevine highway.. Doug and Jeanie always take good care of me and never try to over sell me. In fact sometimes there was a lower cost option I didn't think about and they pointed it out. They seem like they always work at making them the sale that is best the buyer then the service after a the sale is excellent. They are generous with help and advice. There isn't a better sewing center anywhere.

I had already read a lot of sewing machine reviews online so I knew the machine that I wanted before I arrived. The male employee who assisted me was very accommodating - he sold me the machine and helped me figure out which accessories I really needed and which I didn't. He also taught me how to thread the machine and start sewing. Great experience, wonderful customer service!

Wonderful customer service. The ladies there are very nice - they were really helpful in pointing out the best sewing machine for me. It also came with a free 1-yr tune up, free class, and 1-yr in store warranty. Their fabric selection isn't the widest however they do carry charm packs for quilting and have every accessory you'd need for nearly any name brand sewing machine (They had bobbins for my hard-to-shop-for vintage Singer!). They do carry used items to save you some $$ and offer sewing/quilting classes.
