Chimney.com
Since 1989, the chimney specialists at Chimney.com have provided exceptional chimney and fireplace service to homeowners in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Today, more than 30 years later, our commitment to craftsmanship and premium fireplace materials remain the pillars of our service to customers.

Quality craftsmanship is the foundation of our business: It's more than what we do - it's who we are. We've been recognized with multiple super service awards from Angie's List and Home Advisor. Some chimney repair companies famously use aluminum liners to save on material costs. Unfortunately, according to the Chimney Safety Institute of America, aluminum chimney liners are only suitable for certain medium efficiency gas applications.
Services
If you have noticed strange odors or are concerned about potential creosote buildup, we recommend chimney and fireplace cleaning to prevent a safety hazard from developing. Aging chimneys need attention once they start showing signs of wear. We repair popped-off bricks, cracked and missing mortar, damaged fireboxes, poorly sealed roof flashing, and more.
Does your existing fireplace need to be cleaned or repaired? Perhaps you wish to convert your wood-burning fireplace into a gas insert. Whatever you're looking for, Chimney.com can meet your needs. We have proudly served residential and commercial customers in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC since 1989.
We offer free estimates for gas fireplace installations, wood-burning fireplace repairs and chimney repair! All information is subject to change at any time without notice.
We recommend annual chimney inspections for every home and business in the DC area. The experts at Chimney.com will inspect your chimney from top to bottom, looking for any imperfections that could impact its safety and longevity. Water intrusion is a chimney's number one enemy, so we keep a careful lookout for signs of leaks and damage.

I'm a realtor in the MoCo area and am always scouting for honest and reliable vendors to refer to my clients. Chimney.com provided 5 star service to not only myself, but my clients as well. The technician was punctual and knowledgeable. I had a ton of questions and he had an answer for all of them. I will definitely use them again in the future. P.S. they give free estimates!

We had a large 80's style stone fireplace that had to go as it was very outdated. We hired the experts at Chimney.com to tear out the old fireplace and put in a new, smaller, and more modern unit. The tear-down only took a half-day, and the new install took one day. We also had them install a mantle and surround for it. We're very pleased with the new look! If you need fireplace work done, go with the experts at Chimney.com to make sure the job is done right!

I recently used Chimney.com for a complex job on a 1947 house. I would give them ten stars if I could. The job involved lining the chimney and fixing a tricky venting situation, as well as plumbing and roof modifications to make it all work. Everything was in tight spaces due to the age of the house. Chimney.com won our business over other companies for the following reasons. First, Shawn was the ONLY estimator who actually got in the crawl space and looked at the issues, instantly earning my trust. Second, they took a creative approach that solved the problems and also gave us back some storage

Brandon was very polite and professional. After inspecting the problem (water was leaking from chimeny crown to inside the house), he immediately idenitified the problem.
David, the mason, did a great job. He was professional and reponsive. Chimeny gave me discount b/c they were not able to show up on the day they were supposed to.
Very deligent, professional and polite crew.
I am going to hire them again for other services and recommend them to my friends.

Heavy winds knocked the chimney cap over from the chimney. Called and chimney.com were over to the house within 2 hours. Fixed the issue within 20 minutes. Great company and great job by the technician. Definitely would use again!

I only needed my pilot to turn on and the fireplace serviced since the previous renter never turned it on and want to make sure everything is working fine. Technician came, turn on the pilot, lifted a piece of metal covering the outside vent, and charged me $275???!!!!!!

I was told that's the standard charge for the service because they had to drive from MD (so I am paying for their time to drive to my home). The company told me they have solved a problem and made the proper diagnosis, hence the high fees. In fact, the technical never said it was a problem, but only told the renters not

In my experience, a bad option. Very expensive, didn't do a good job the first time, they did not come the 2nd time to complete it until a month later after we called them and called them and then they came for the third time to take pictures of the job but not clear if it's done or not. Plus, one of the employees (I hear he's not there anymore), urinated inside my shed. And btw, they don't ring the bell, they just climb as they please.

I recently used Chimney.com to change the flue and fix a crack in the cement at the top of the chimney. In terms of quotes, the company was quick to respond to my request. The gentleman who came out was great, gave me a run down of everything that needed to be done and the estimated cost. He also was nice enough to give me a rough idea on other projects (e.g. switching from wood burning to gas) so I can properly plan future budgets.

From an execution standpoint, they scheduled me within the next few days. The repair guy came out on a Saturday morning, showed up on time, and did everything without

I've been using Chimney.com (formerly Jimney's) for over 5 years to clean and maintain my wood-burning oven flue. Fantastic service every time - and that's after 20+ cleanings!

Their technicians are knowledgeable, courteous, and work very cleanly and efficiently. They always show up on time and are reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!

We moved into a house and had no idea when the last time the chimney had been cleaned. We didn't want to take any chances, so we contacted Chimney.com and had them come out to take a look. The price was much less than we had expected and they didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. We will definitely be recommending them to all of our family and friends. Great customer service!

This company must have changed a TON since the negative reviews I was reading. Not only were they very reasonably priced, they were extremely nice to work with and have in our home. Even my kids loved them. They swept our chimney about as fast as anyone has before and it looks better than ever. These guys are definitely recommended.

I had chimney.com reline my furnace flue. Very clean job. Easy to communicate with and schedule the job. Flawless execution and compared to other quotes I received they were competitive. Tim and Jimmy know what they are doing.
