Services
Their dishes are delicious, their prices are very fair, their portions are huge and their customer service is above and beyond the best! My husband and I went here for breakfast after picking up our rental car at the airport. We chose this restaurant because it was on Google as a "place the locals eat".

Highly highly recommend!
I ordered the mochiko chicken, miso pork, nishime, fried noodles, fried fish, veggie tempura, and namasu for a retirement party and EVERYTHING was delicious. Everyone kept asking where the food was from. Obviously it was a huge hit :)
If you are looking for a great mom and pop restaurant to support that serves great food look no further. Also, working with the owners to develop the menu for the party to meet our budget was such an easy process....bonus!

Stopped at Tatsuo's for lunch today. It is a small store in the warehouse district. It is mostly take-away, but they do have a bench and a log in front of the store you can sit and eat. Your food will be in a take-away container.

Parking can be a bit if a challenge, but they did have more parking in the back.

I had the chicken katsu mini with macaroni salad and fruit. The chicken katsu was very good. The chicken was very crispy and the katsu sauce tasty. The macaroni salad was a little bland but still good. The fruit was also good.

The service was very good! She gave us advise and

Super friendly staff. Quick service. Fair prices. And awesome food. The fried rice that came with the breakfast was really good. Also, the coffee wasn't weak, which is refreshing when it's included with the meal. Highly recommend.

Not a bad spot for the quick grab n go lunchwagon style that's in a store front.
All the typical local teri etc etc to bentos and stews.
Got beef stew and tripe stew today
Was little in the blander side today and rice was little over cooked and the gravy was soaked up into the rice. But for the price and having a hot meal in the rainy weather we been having was nice.
If you work near sand island you know this spot.
Those 1st time make sure you coming from Nimitz side and aloha power since the street only accessible that one side you'll see

1. make sure you're following them on IG so you can see what the daily specials are

most of the specials are ready to go, served cafeteria style out of giant pans on a warmer. but there are some like the pulehu steak, that you'll have to wait a bit for them to prepare.
on top of the specials they also have a ton of regular menu items, like burgers, fries, saimin, and local plate lunches. if you go early too they also serve breakfast.
in front of the warmers there are random small grab and go items. when i went today at 1030a, they had a few sandwiches left, hard boiled eggs, fruit

Late post. Just started Yelping again. Although its been a few yrs, I recall the selection was huge and everything was great. We got there early so had seats and lots of dishes to chose from. As soon as lunch hour hit the crowd rushed in! Nearby workers, and people in the know of great places to go for lunch!
Now that I'm using my Yelp again, its jogged my memory of yummy places to pick up food! See you soon!

I've scheduled for delivery twice at 6-630 am. They open at 5 or 530. They canceled my order both times at the time it was supposed up be delivered. It would be nice if they canceled it as soon as they opened or not cancel my order. I tried ordering both times on Uber Eats. I contacted Uber just in case it wasn't this establishment. Uber said the restaurant is the one that canceled it both times with no explanation.

This place is a hidden treat. Found this place during the Okinawa FEASTival week, they are Okinawa owned and have Okinawa dishes. I picked up containers of their Shoyu Pork, Nishime and Pork Spare Rib soup. Needless to say all 3 dishes were delicious! It reminded me of my grandma's cooking, just the right amount of brown sugar and shoyu with ginger. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook for their daily specials. I will definitely be going back to eat my way through their specials!

I am a sucker for a good pastele stew with gandule rice and Tatsuos definitely hits the spot, every single time. Their pastele stew is flavorful with good size chunks of meat and potatoes - it has everything you want in a good stew. Paired with their gandule rice, SO GOOD! It's only available on Wednesdays as one of their daily specials so definitely go then if you want to try. Another Wednesday special is their furikake chicken, another amazing dish.

I think what separates Tatsuos apart from other local mom-n-pop plate-lunch places is the sides they offer with their plates. In both the

Wanted to try another lunchwagon and first thing came to mind was this name. When we got down to the address that was mentioned on yelp or Google it turned out to be a dine in take out restaurant. They have daily specials and also their regular menu they have home made breads and cookies. I had the pork cutlet and my husband had their tripe stew all mini sections.my pork cutlet was a little tough maybe using a regular pork chop and cut into pieces to make it a cutlet. The brown gravy seems like from the package. My husband tripe stew he said tasted like Spanish tripe stew and not enough tripe.

Tatsuo's had been serving breakfast and lunch for many years. Today my wife and I ordered take out due to covid 19
virus. I ordered the mini tripe stew. Potion size looked impressive. The fact is most of that was rice. Carrots, potatoes
onions and tripe on top. Finding the tripe was like looking for Waldo. Taste was passable. My wife ordered the mini pork cutlet.
Took about 15 minutes to come out of the kitchen. The pork was thick and heavily breaded. I got to taste it and give it three stars. The breakfast bento's on the counter looked good. Might try it the bext time.

My car had overheated so I was waiting for a tow when I ordered from here. SUPER NICE folks and I got the Samurai Breakfast Special which was 3 meats, 2 eggs, rice, toast AND coffee. NOM.

Because I stayed a while waiting for the tow, I bought the Melting Moments cookies. YUMMY!

Really good place for ONO breakfast. I left right before lunch. Definitely will order again, hopefully at a better circumstance. BUT, if I never had my car trouble, I wouldn't have tried this place. So.... WIN : WIN?

Oh my goodness! This food was so delicious. We left the decision of what meat to put in a 3 meat mix plate. And she didn't disappoint. We enjoyed hamburger steak, garlic chicken, and mochiko chicken over a bed of rice. With potato/mac salad and homemade Kim chi.
All of it was so good. Will definitely be back before we leave Hawaii for home(Oklahoma).
