Vision is More Than 20/20 is a podcast aimed at talking about vision, your eyes and how they play a role in overall visual and systemic function. We often hear if you see "20/20" you have great eyesight, but that is just the first step in the visual process. Dr. Zilnicki & Licausi, with the help of various guests, will work to help you understand more about your visual system and all the pieces to the vision puzzle!

We are equipped with the latest technology in diagnostic and examination equipment. This allows us to provide our patients with the most thorough, comprehensive eye examinations available!
Both Dr. Zilnicki & Dr. Licausi are InfantSEE providers. Under this program participating optometrists provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age as a no-cost public service. The American Optometric Association recommends scheduling your baby's first eye assessment at 6 months of age, even if there are no apparent concerns.
Our comprehensive eye exam goes beyond 20/20, learning how our patients use their eyes to gather, process and integrate their vision. A vision therapy examination looks at three main areas of visual function that are necessary for clear and comfortable vision. These areas include: binocularity (eye teaming), accommodation (eye focusing) and visual perception (eye tracking, visual memory, speed and processing).

Do not do vision therapy without a neuro ophthalmologist examination if you are an adult and are experiencing double vision/ divergence insufficiency. If your problem is caused by a sagging tendon in the eye no amount of therapy will cure you. Surgery is the only cure. I totally wasted my time with therapy with no positive results. Now I am having the surgery.

I'm SO HAPPY that Twin Forks Optometry and Vision Therapy opened in Riverhead. They are SO PROFESSIONAL !! I wear a lot of Prism in my glasses which many doctors don't know how to prescribe but these two young doctors are excellent at it. I'm taking their classes in visual therapy as well and they make it fun and interesting while they are helping me. A snack is even included !! I used to have to travel a long distance away for professionals as good as these too ! They are the Best !! Their secretary couldn't be any nicer too !
